Your guest had some great insight. Thank you, If by some chance I won, I would love the Scott Kelby book

  4. These critiques you guys are doing every now and then really help us big time. We appreciate the gesture out here and people should be learning from the critiques rather than whining ;)

  5. Don Berman says:

Excellent show! Bert Stephani was a very nice addition. I particularly like his approach to evaluating images: feeling first, then technique.

My vote is for you to keep doing critique shows. I find I learn more with them. Also, I benefit when you do quick adjustments to an image, demonstrating how it could be improved.

For the contest, put me down for Scott’s book. I’ve bought a number of his earlier ones and have yet to be disappointed.

  6. Dave Moore says:

OK So I took your advice and check out Jay Patel’s landscape photography and I think I want to hang up my camera. Wow he’s amazing and I don’t think I could ever come close to that vision!

Hopefully studying his work can help me be a slightly better photographer and artist. Just… wow.

Best thing: a theme for the blind critique.

Maybe next time you could announce the upcoming theme a little earlier.

I understand you are beniinngg your career as a homeschooler, but have you ever done any other teaching? You have a very wonderful way of explaining details without getting lost in the detail! You are a blessed soul for sharing your gifts and your children are blessed to have you as a mom and a teacher. P.S. I agree that the Kelby books are THE BEST! I have tried others, but his are by far more creative and easier to follow at the same time.

  22. Joe McNally’s shoes are hard to fill! But i liked it

  23. Arve Hansen says:

You guys have to stop being so productive! Since I watch everything (inkl Kelby Training), I have no time for taking photos or playing with Photoshop
    :-)

  24. Tony says:

Great show. Had some really good photographs this time. I really like these. Really enjoyed the insight of the guest too. Seems like a really nice guy.

  25. Jack says:

The photo critique segments are absolutely the best of The Grid presentations. I learn quite a bit about photo techniques by hearing your commentaries.
Bert Stephani was an excellent guest.
