I really like the whole execute vs cover.
I think that’s a great point, I know a studio that thinks shoot it and fix it in photoshop later, they cover when they could be executing. I say this and can identify with the whole time wasted cause I have retouched their work in the past. And I am talking there was things that if they just moved it out of the background or stopped for 30seconds to adjust something in the shot, it would have saved hours of post retouching.
I stand by this statement ” Photoshop is not what makes you a good photographer, it is getting it as right as possible in the camera as you can to begin with” . Everything has it’s cost, the laziness may save you time in the beginning, but will cost more time later for you or your retoucher.
In doing weddings, I think there is both cover and execute. you cover the ceremony and reception, you execute the formals.
