    Thanks for the tip RC, I have never heard of a Radiance file as I just started shooting for HDR and tried your tip, cool it works, and when I drag the file to Photomatix it opens as an unprocessed HDR file that I can then tonemap, thanks again, you guys are great

    I watched Episode 285. I followed RC when he used the photoshop feature”merge to HDR”. If I understand, he seems to think photoshop preforms the initial task of alligning and degosting better or faster than other third party HDR programs. He therefore uses the “merge to HDR” photoshop feature first, and then saves the output file, and brings it up later in “photomatrix” , or other HDR programs. I got lost when I tried to save the image as RC suggest as a “radiant file”. I cannot find “radiant” file in the dropdown options.

    Pete, can you decrease the screen resolution that you are capturing? When it get’s compressed for video, I can’t read any of the menus or toolbars that you are selecting for your tips.

    This is my 1 year anniversary of subscribing to Kelby Training, i have to do this monthly because i didnt have the money to join NAPP for the full year but as you can see i never missed my month. Im not an expert yet but at least I can keep up with Corey when he moves the cursor all over the place on his tutorials..motion sickness..you guy’s ROCK.THX

    Peppermint Cookies

    3/4 stick Crisco® Butter Shortening Sticks or 3/4 cup Crisco® Butter Shortening
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons milk
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    1 large egg
    2 cups all purpose Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    3/4 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 cup crushed peppermintcandy canes or 3/4 cup peppermint hard candies, divided

    HEAT oven to 350ºF.

    BEAT shortening, brown sugar, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl of electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into shortening mixture at low speed just until blended. Stir in 1/2 cup crushed candy. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

    BAKE 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately sprinkle each cookie with about 1/4 teaspoon crushed candy. Cool 2 minutes. Remove to rack to cool completely.

    TIP – To have enough crushed candy for this recipe, use 9 medium candy canes or 36 peppermint hard candies.
