Maybe a tutorial on using lighten mode on layers when combining strobe lit automobile photography.

I know it might be really basic for some, but each time I need to fix a simple blemish or unwanted object on the image, I am struggling which tool to choose. There is Clone, Healing Brush, Spot Healing Brush, now Contente Aware-Fill and probably some I never even heard off. Can you do some summary or tutorials on those different tools?

  3. Paul says:

Matt, do you think that the new CS5 sharpen tool is better than using the brush tool in Lightroom to sharpen?

  4. William Chinn says:

If you have a tablet the sharpen tool and its other cousins are excellent control tools. And here I thought you were overstating its usage as a tool. If anything you were right on, IF you have a tablet.

  5. Chris P says:

I don’t think Matt noticed, but the sharpening tool works like the healing brush now, in that you can create a new layer and sample all layers to put the sharpened changes on a new layer. If that makes sense. Maybe it makes enough sense for me to win this weeks prize..?
Thanks boys, 90% of what I know about Photoshop I know from you three, pus RC and Corey, and I applaud you.

Hello guys. Having a little problem with a Scott Kelby tutorial from he “The Photoshop book for digital photographers” first editon 2003. trying to use the technique “When you forgot to use fill flash”, in cs4. When I try to paint with the history brush i do not see any change. would you consider a video tutorial ? have a couple of outdoor shots that need some fill flash, just ordered reflector!!!

  8. Nicolas says:

I think as we see more and more Plugins for Photoshop (and the recent addition of OnOne’s free basic version) a Plugin of the Week would be a cool segment.

In short, just let us know what it does, why someone would use it in addition to the Photoshop capabilities, short tutorial on the basic function and where to get it.

  9. Great show, guys!
