Great show, can you give some tips on shooting when you wear eye-glass.
Great tips RC!
Another helpful show – many thanks
I love the show and enjoy the way that you put a couple of tricks in every episode and that they are normally tips for various levels of photographic expertise.
I’d love to see an explanation of how the camera manufacturers lines are and what are the advantages of choosing a camera in that line: i.e. Why a Nikon 5200, and not a 3100, or why should I save up to get the D7000 instead of the entry level camera. It would be great to see that comparison for both of the Cannon and Nikon lines.
Good tips.
Rouge puts out a great product !!!!!!
Love your show RC
Really enjoy the tips on gettign larger files from Jole Grimes. A few images explaining the nodal point impact would have been great as well.

Good tip RC on the zoom feature of your flash. When I first got my Canon 580 II EX I had a hard time adjusting the zoom and finally figured out it was the diffusion panel being pulled out just slightly.

I’d like to hear more on how Tamara deals with people during a shoot. Particularly, how do you get really shy kids to warm up to you and not hide behind Mom’s skirt?
Hi,
I just wanted to drop a line to say thank you. I got one of Scott’s photography books for Christmas and I am ready it for the second time. I love it. I got this site from his book and this is the first episode that I have watched. I am really looking forward to seeing many more so that I can keep learning. I would eventually like to make a business out of taking pics but realize that I have a lot to learn. I am also watching all I can about Adobe Photoshop. Looking forward to learning a lot more from you guys!
Thanks!
Great stuff RC!! Loved this ep, and the great explanation on flash zoom!

Totally agree with Tamara that social interaction is as important as photography technical.Photographing a person is not just about the frame ,is also about the person behind it.Rogue stuff are cool.
I’d have to check with you here. Which isn’t something I generally do! I enjoy reading a post that will make people today think. Also, thanks for permitting me to comment!

Love the flash tips from RC McNally. Let’s do a flash tip each week. I’m a Nikon shooter.
That was a great tip about the flash. Even my SB 600 does that.
Love the zoom tip!
Great show!
I’m new to Kelby TV but I really enjoyed this episode. I definitely will be looking at more episodes.
RC, great stuff – love the training on the SB900 – I have that flash and appreciated what you shared about with the zoom – I use my flash a ton – never adjust the zoom – I will now – you have impacted my photography – Thank you!
Great to learn about zoom on flash – I’m a total newbie and just got my first speedlite for my Canon 60D. Wish you’d talked a bit about the cropped sensor that a camera like the 60D has – if I zoom to 50 mm on my lens – do I set the flash to 50 mm to or do I need to multiply by 1.6? Things like that would have taken the segment from great to perfect!
Thanks for some great tips and ideas. This was my first viewing, and I will subscribe.
