Another great show guys! Lots of really useful information. I wouldn’t mind seeing some tips on back up solutions/ best practices. Maybe some details on working from External modules like Drobos or Weibietechs.
I’m going to miss my weekly fix:( Love the lighting setup this episode. Would love to see more setups next season.
I forgot to shave today as well. Matt rocks! So does RC. Happy Holidays to you guys as well!
I never knew why video moved from blue to green screens. Thanks for educating me again.
You didn’t leave us with a photographer to check out? That’s okay, I’ll just check out your websites instead.
Enjoyed the show and Matt’s book on composting.
Another chance for onOne PhotoSuite6–super! The hope that you might get picked is half the fun.

Great show and thanks for another season. Really enjoyed RC’s lighting example. It was great to see the differences in the lighting modifiers and how he built up the final image.
Nice to see Matt again too.
For next season try to bring back more guests who make regular appearances with tips. It was nice to see David Hobby on here, but for only one show
….. more is better!
I liked how RC showed the different parts of lighting with showing what each individual light affects.
Loved the show today guys! Can’t wait til next season and episode 100!
As a hobbyist photog I love to hear the PS tips like today that really save a beginner a lot of time in trial and error shooting. Also I would love to hear more about keeping consistent color and skin tones in Post Processing.
Matt, I am getting your new book for Christmas, and now I think I also need Corey’s Down and Dirty book to go with it.
Keep up the good shows, and have a great Holiday!
Bring back Matt! I’ll sign the petition =)

Great show. Can’t wait for #100. How about some tips on Photoshop Elements and Nikon Capture NX2 in future shows. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This is by far the best host match-up I have seen on this program. You guys need to do more of this show together.
Love the show, RC and Larry are awesome! For the next season, I would like to see more of Matt and Scott, and some guests like Joe Mcnally and Rick Sammon for some tips!

I would like to see:-
More lighting techniques

More of Matt (shaven or otherwise)
How pros work, basically how they tackle problems…
welcome back Matt.
Hey I just got broadband and just found your program and now I have to wait until next year!
Happy Holidays Guys
Like the show
Get segment on lighting.
Suggestion: Be more verbose with the youtube tags and with the title so that searches will pick up the video when I am looking to understand beauty dishes.
As usual, great tips. I’ve love to hear about differences between full-frame and cropped sensors.
Gee the book looks like a great XMAS gift… wink wink
Great background tip for extracting. I miss Cheap Shots — any plans to bring it back?
You guys rock!
Thanks for the tip on the backgrounds. Just getting ready to buy my first backround kit and I wasn’t sure what color I should go for first. Sounds like white is the answer!
Another quality event.
love the show and wondering of any iphone users have used this http://www.designboom.com/weblog/cat/16/view/17775/iphone-camera-lens-dial-case.html
Good show. Can’t wait for the next season!
Hey Guys,
Have a great Holiday Season!

Love the show. Good tip on compositing . Great to see Matt. Do some more stuffs on backgrounds.

You must have been reading my mind, I have a photo shoot tomorrow and have been wondering how many lights to use, watched your show and just what I need to know for tomorrow, thanks!! Wow episode 100 coming up, would like to see more actual set up examples like today’s lighting set up. Happy Holiday’s to the whole gang!!!!!!!!!
whats new with different senor sizes idea for shows . what can we get out of these cameras.
Great show..like always.
Great show…like always
great show
Another great ending to an outstanding season. Thanks guys! Great backdrop tip. We could use more lighting tips next season.
Happy Holidays to the D Town TV Crew.
Great show. Loved Matt’s tip
Once again: Thank you very much!
Another great show. I just got into to Photography and I will be getting my 1st DSLR soon. So my idea for a show for the next season would be….. a show for beginners. Show that basics to using a DSLR, best cameras to start with, and any other tips for beginners .
Great show. Keep up the good work.
awesome tutorial now i know what background is the best
Thanks for the background color tip! I made the mistake of shooting on a dark gray background that fell to black because of the subject-to-background distance and the images were unusable because of it (dark black ‘aliasing’ around the hair / clothing).
Sounds like I need to get some nice white seamless!
White to grey, nice idea. Gives the backdrop two usages, Highkey and background removal. I normally use a med grey for removal and will add some some gelled lights as the colors seem to stand out better then on black or white for that separation on the background.
Next season something on best practices,/using gear the right way. Thanks for all the great shows and Happy Holidays to all
Great show guys!
Matt is so cool, and a good teacher too.
Any tips on getting better pictures on trips when you have to shoot during the day when the light is at its worse. Do you also have any tips of shooting candid photos of people at parties and other events.
Keep the good prizes coming and I would be happy to win the Windex bottle.
Loved the show again. Worth watching every time.
You guys rock!
Hi guys,
another great show.
I would suggest for the 100th episode to make it a bit longer and to have together RC, Larry, Scott and Matt together on the show.
Happy holidays
Tomislav
Great show(s). You guys keep the standard up, mixing humor with some great information.
great show guys!
Great show guys. Follow every episode.
What i want next season? more techy tips, and if Nikon related even better
Only two tips but both are awesome and very useful. The Rick Sammon class looks like just what I could use. He’d make a great guest next season.
How does using a gray background work when photographing older people? My hair is turning gray, and hair is usually the most difficult part to extract.
Awesome. Great tips.
Great episode guys..see you next season
Great light tips, simple but efictive!
Great
Hi, I love DTown TV – how about some tips for doing dramatic portraits on location, I’d be particularly interested in shooting in dark-ish locations eg in a forest.
Nice demo with portrait lighting, thanks RC.
Since photography is a hobby for me and I only have one Canon 580 EXII I would like to see more tips on using only one flash indoors and outdoors on and off the camera. Thanks for another season, and looking forward to the next.
I have an AAS in Graphic Design and I agree with what you said about Photographers need to know design. My mom has got me to start watching your tv shows and I have learned some valuable tips from you guys.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Great show again guys. I learn so much from you.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Great show on basic lighting, if you can try moving the background a little further back, that will help with light reflecting back onto your model, and gray is ok for a background but if you are using colored jells you should make the background appear black first than add the add the lights with the jells.
Thanks for helping me to solve two problems today : choice of lights and colour of background. Happy Holidays to the team.
I really enjoyed this episode with great tips on lighting and what colour screen works best for compositing. Wow!! What great giveaways with Corey’s book and Photo Suite 6. I’ll be envying whoever gets those. Can’t wait for episode 100 in January. Have a great Christmas guys and thanks so much for sharing your tips, secrets and hmmm..I wonder what the show would look like if RC grew a really long beard and co-hosted with Bill Fortney. Just kidding, you guys are amazing and wonderful!!!
Great show! Really nice to see Matt.
Two useful tips, you guys work well together. I guess for difficult subject for extraction, you could use two different coloured backgrounds and extract twice, then combine. (something to spend your holidays with – experimenting…)
Best wishes, Ray
Thanks for the great show! Happy Holidays!
Great tip on the composite background
Hi, one question to the professionals: what are you using for monitor calibration?
Btw, your show is amazing.
Markus
Great show, have learned a lot from you this year. I got a job from the stuff I learned from you guys. Thank you very much and will be looking froward to next year. Hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas.
Great tips — thanks Matt & RC
hey why does the comment just before mine say 3:50PM today — it’s only 11:20 AM?
Great show! As a new (63 year old) photographer I find the Kelby TV shows to be a great source for my education.
Another great show,
Another great show guys, see you in about 4 weeks.
Great show guys! Good to see Matt on the show again. I see Matt more here lately than I have on the Grid. Thanks for the tip to shoot people on natural gray backgrounds. I actually shoot on green screen and absolutely love it. Although I love PS, I use FXhome Photokey Pro which gets rid of any halo effect and lets you control light fall off for the person. We use it for all of our event and portrait work. Happy Holidays and see you guys next year!
Enjoyed this season. Looking forward to seeing you again next season.
Hey guys, my wish list for next season would be (in no particular order):
1. Low key lighting
2. High key lighting
3. Macro and macro lighting
4. Posing
5. Astrophotography
Thanks
see ya
Great finish to the season and looking forwards to the next beginning soon.
hi!
You guys rock. Watched every episode so far. I you guys can show more off camera flash stuff. Thx
Great series chaps. Been a fan since episode 1.
Next season do you think we could have a tip or opinions for glasses wearers.
Also any street photography tips would be great. I’m still not brave enough to ask people to take their picture, so most of my shots are candid.
Happy Holidays all,
Regards
Rob
Good show guys.
Have a happy and safe holiday season.
A suggestion for next season (if you have not done it yet) is… what to look for when buying a photo printer or a photo scanner.
More compositing please. Love it.
Great show guys, Good seeing Matt back on the set again!!
Great season guys. For next season how about a segment on macro photography. Maybe shooting some common things you could find around the house.
Hi RC, Hi Matt,
thank you very much for great tips on lighting and backgrounds.
take care,
Ali
Another good show, guys.
For next season, I surely would like to see more lighting tips too… cool lights, speed lights, reflectors, etc.
Also would like to see some deep dives into ISO, i.e. pushing the limits on the high ends and how to incorporate camera features such as Hi ISO NR.
Plus, some tips on exploring f-Stop, beyond the standard sweet spots we commonly find ourselves only using.
Lastly, delving into lens accessories… such as, extension tubes, ND filters, polarizers, etc.
Have a merry Christmas and happy new year celebration. See you in 2012.
As usual, great show! Of all the KelbyTV shows, this one is my favorite and has been since the very first episode. I always get a huge wave of depression when the season ends & I know I’m gonna go thru withdrawals for weeks again. Thanks again for a great show with great hosts.
P.S. My daughter is about to get married & I’m shooting it. It sure would be nice to win Corey’s book & that software…(hint, hint)
Great tips! See you next season.
Merry Christmas guys and Happy New Year!
Just caught the show . this is great I will keep watching some more. thanks
How about some sharpness tips.
Great composite background tip.
Great compositing tip. Thanks.

Love You all….but…
can´t You put on a lenscap on the camera body on the wall and a rear cap for the lens.
Imagine all the dust coming in!
Great backdrop lighting tip. How about some female co-hosts next season!?
Great show. Would like to see more lighting tips
for us amateurs. ffm
What’s new coming out in Photoshop? Can you still upgrade from CS3?
Great to see Matt as a guest co-host. Thanks for the tip on choosing a background color.
Another excellent show, guys! Your lighting and compositing tips are always helpful. How about some lighting/compositing tips for shooting products in the studio?
Happy Holidays!
John
superb backdrop tip; Merry Christmas to one and all and thank you for keeping me inspired
Thanks guys. Good show.
Next season how about more on black and white and infrared.
M
Thanks, very informative! Can’t wait next season!
Can’t wait til next season. Happy Holidays guys.
Loved seeing Trey on the show, his pictures are amazing. I actually purchased his 11 hour on-line HDR video training course (last month) and it was fantastic. I learnt loads and now process HDR images in a completely different way.
I also love the stuckonearch app, and have started to create trips I plan to take – even found some great locations where I live in Seattle.
The show was great and learnt that the app saved the trips off line (didn’t know that), and I also didn’t know about the photography tips – so really pleased I watched.
Love the show, do bring Trey back, very very cool.
Corey, Matt, R.C.,, And Scott Holy …
I want that book…
OMG Great show RC and Matt I learned more about light and the effects in 17 secounds then 3 yrs reading about it

I’d love to see a show on braving the elements outside, harsh sunlight, rain, snow and how to work with light in these situations.
Happy Holidays!!
Great final for the season. It is always good to see you Matt. I like the product reviews and the how to’s.
Happy Holidays to all of you at KelbyTV,

Hi,
I hope your vacation will not take too long as when you changed the setup of the show.
Already end of a season
The part of RC on building up the lights was very good.
Will you bring Joe McNally for a visit on your show, I realy like his work and tips.
Wishing every one a Merry Christmas and thank you for what you do.
Great show,
I would like to see more about cheap lighting with speedlites. And posing tips for models.
Love the show
Thanks for that grey background tip!! I’ve been struggling with white for extraction for the longest time and had not thought about a neutral grey. Very cool tip.
Love the show! Can’t wait for next season. Enjoy the break – Merry Christmas!
Ideas on improvement are tough to come up with, so I’ll just take a shot in the dark.
I’d love to see more live demos of tips and techniques. For example, take something from RC’s blog or from Lightloom Killer Tips or somewhere, and walk through it. That might reach some folks with different learning styles who struggle to just follow a recipe (lighting or hdr for example).
Matt is great
Matt is good
Bring him back
You really should.
Great show see you next season
Great job as usual.
Good show. Love it that your talking about post work. See you in about a month or so.
Great episode! Happy Holidays!!!
Just saw this weeks episode, great tip on the extraction background. Color, also saw a promo for a class with Rick Sammon that sounded interesting.
I love to shoot with Speedlights, could you get someone to show some good tips on using several Speedlights on location or even in studio. Thanks and keep up the cool work.
Was hoping to suggest someone using Speedlights on location or in studio as a tip for next season, I really enjoy shooting with Speedlights, Plus the portability is fantastic.
I posted a comment earlier but I think an error prevented it from going through. Great show I tell my friends about it and enjoy the tips.
Great last show for the season.
Always great and look forward to 100 plus. How about a lesson on how you set up a HDR shot. Both single and multi frames.
Hey Matt and RC,
I’m Aditya from India, have been a huge fan of your show since it was aired first with Scott as the host.
The amount things I’ve learnt through your show is phenomenal and I’d really like to thank you guys for your honest and entertaining way of teaching.
I’d specially like to mention Scott’s Digital Photography book which taught me (and still is) to create the kind of photographs I was looking to create when I bought an SLR (D3100) a year ago.
Also, love Larry’s cheapshots.
Keep up the awesome work people. Looking forward to more episodes
Cheers,
Aditya
India
Nice end to the series. Looking forward to the ‘ton’ next year. How about begining HDR and photographing kids for two suggestions?
All I want for Christmas is OnOne 6!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoyed Matt’s extraction of colors tutorial, this is information that is really useful. As the digital photography IQ of your audience grows, I would enjoy seeing a more fine art appreciation of photography, with more emphasis on composition and color, this (I think) would really improve the average shooters work. Again, great show.
Great show!
Maybe next season we can have more on actual shooting, modes when to use, what to use in shooting situations, More on using the camera.
Waiting for episode 100!!
One idea for the show can be Onone vs. Nik plugins?
You got to use one, but wich one…
loved the show and the season went too fast looking forward to next season and show 100!
Nice tip for photo extraction! Great show!
Never won anything before but would be nice
Thanks guys for another season. No show with content such as what you offer exists anywhere. Keep the passion for the art alive…. For ALL of us!
Already looking forward to next season. Enjoyed all the tips and ideas from this season. Have great holiday period.
Next season I would like to see an episode dedicated just to fashion photoshop tips
Great tips !!
Good to have Matt back on the show.
Sorry that it is the last show of the season.
Looking forward to next season.
don’t worry RC, i don’t shave my beard as well.. ;D
Would have liked to see soft box vs beauty dish side by side for comparison.
Great show as always. Now withdrawals until you return in about 4 weeks!
Another great show guys.
Ok……so we have to wait 4 wks! Great job guys,
Oh and I could win…; ‘)
Randall
Its Sunday I have to shave for Monday
For next season can you get back to basics with camera?
Great lighting tips, would love to see more of that and going into more detail on it next season!
Great show as always. Nice tips. Can’t wait to see more episodes.
Great season wrap up you guys. Thanks!
great tip, with the white background. More like that!
Always good to see Matt back on the show. I was wondering for next season can you do a quick think about light placement. Something like broad, short lighting technique anything along that line would be fine. Also you did mention that you were going to talk about the Yongnuo Radio RF-630 triggers. That would also be great since a lot of us another option besides the more expensive ones. Thanks again for another great season
It can’t be that time for a break already! Great show – keep e’m coming!
Awesome show guys!!!
Another great show. Happy Holidays!!
Was a great season. Have a great holiday and can’t wait for episode 100.
Hey maybe highlight some of the tools in the on one suite next season. Have a good break!
Matt & RC you are the greatest, come to Hawaii, I want to see you in person!
I figured out that thing about the grey background . it was nice to hear you say it
Thanks guys, another great season in the can!
I’d really like to see more specialty guest appearences working out in the field.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone and their families at D-Town, Kelby Training, Adobe, and NAPP. Bless us all
in the future.
tom
Congratulations on another awesome season!! Now go enjoy some Christmas cheer and a Happy New Year. When you come back in 2012, I would love to see you get out from behind the podium a little more. I think it’s a good place to start the show, transition between segments, and say a few words before ending. But in between, I’d love to see you and your guests doing a little more hands-on stuff. Thanks for keeping us informed and entertained all year!
Wow, you did it again. Enthralled me as usual.
another great show! Happy Holidays
The show is so much better with MATT
Can’t wait for Episode 100!
Good show. How about next year some specialized work for beginners. If you want to learn photoshop or light room for example here is where you start. Then here is where you go.
Thank you again for your contribution to the learning curve.
Great show, keep it up
Dtowntv is the air that I breath. I don’t know if I can hold my breath for 4 weeks, but I will try. Turning purple already! Great show guys.
Great information. Have a Merry Christmas.
Great episode!
Another great show. Always good to see Matt and his tips – but still miss Larry. I know he’s busy with the B&H videos, etc.
Looking forward to next season. Maybe you could do a little more on HDR and have someone on like Trey to show his workflow.
Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
really enjoy your show
Great show as usual. I could really use the OnOne Photo Suite as a Christmas gift. I think Matt probably already has one.
Wishing everyone at DTown a Merry Christmas! Thanks for all the tips!
Interesting show.
You guys rock! Good to see Matt. Tips for beginners to approach a photographer more advanced to gain knowledge. Getting your creativity back. Setting goals. How to catalog in LR where you can find the photos anytime. Working as a second shooter, what are your copyrights. The importance of going to a community college to take a beginner’s class. One subject, one light, then two, then three. Acquiring equipment with little or no budget.
Thanks, Tim Sorrells
Great Show
You guys were working your Mad Teaching Skills today! Always appreciate the way you break down shots & set ups…
I love D-Town. Great to see Matt on the show again. Hope to get his new book soon. Great tips as always. Merry Christmas to all at D-Town.
Lately, you have been devoting too much time to studio lighting subjects. While I would love to have the capability of working with all the lighting setups discussed, as an amateur, I can’t afford thousands of dollars worth of lighting equipment..
Great show & season guys.
Great show! Can’t wait for next season already!
D-Town is by far my favorite of all of your shows. Look forward to next season! Happy Holidays!
You guys are the best. Thanks and see ya next season.
Great show, great tips!
Great show yet again, but where’d Larry go?? Hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Hey guys, this was a very interesting segment! I loved the explanation of the different lights from RC and the explanation of the difference in background colors from Matt. I would love for someone to tell me how to get the picture package back into Photoshop 5. I’m sure this is an easy fix, but I can’t locate the answer. Thanks and keep the tips coming!
Another great show!! As someone who’s learning to use off camera lighting, I appreciate RC’s tutorial.
Thanks for the tips. I would like to see more tips for beginning photographers wanting to setup a studio.
Enjoyed the show! Very interested in Corey”s new book. Reviews on some of the latest and greatest gear would be nice!
Good to see Matt back. RC the lighting tips were great. More next season ????
That would be great
Please make this your show format, this was perfect!
Great show, good lighting tips. Can’t wait until next season, eps 100!!!!.
Great show and hurry back!
Great show. My first time watching…. I can’t wait for the next one.
Another killer show!
Hey Guys, great show. Nice to see Matt. Hey next season can you show some “freezing the action” type tips BUT in the studio instead of action sports HSS stuff.
Frank Doorhof has spoke about it a while back on G+, adding a little motion for an interesting shot.
Bring back Matt.
Bring back Matt.
Bring back Matt.
Great show.Love the info on the different back grounds.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
you guys are awesome!
Would love to see more compositing and HDR photography tutorials. Way to go guys great job!!!!
Have a great holiday, guys. How about some thing on high speed sync/FP and flash.
Liked the show. would like to see for next year, more GEAR shows. i.e. pocket wizard stuff I can’t figure out from the manual, always like bags and case items, Larrys cheap shots, DIY projects, shooting in BAD weather, (you MUST get some in
Fla>???) Scanning tips, reviews on gear. etc.
I could REALLY REALLY use some OnOne software. Thanks to OnOne for their generous donations and all your sponsors.. Jock
what do you guys think about the mirrorless cameras. Sony A77 and NEX7? It looks good.
Thanks for continuing to do this show. I always learn something new.
Hey you guys rock! Episode 100 coming up next! I think you need to do a special episode with McNally and Scott to commemorate it.
I’d love to win that book by Corey, btw. It looks really awesome!
Merry Christmas ya’ll
Great show guys. Thanks!
I would love for you’ll to talk about entry level, mid level and pro level DSLR LED Light Panels…
thanks…
excellent info on extraction colors.
Nice Job.
Like your show.
Love the lighting basics — it’s something we can never get enough of.
RC, thanks for the lighting tips/info. ALWAYS good stuff.
Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Holiday
Great episode guys! see you next season
great show !!
Thanks for another great season guys – enjoy the break.
Great show as usual, I’m looking forward to next season. Have great holiday.
What about a show about extreme high speed. Such as how you would shoot a bursting balloon, or a shattering glass.
Great tip regarding using grey for the background . The beauty dish v softbox comparison was useful to.
Really appreciated the lighting tips. Would like to see some more “strobist” type small-light tips. More stuff about how to do good lighting “on the cheap”. More Matt.
Great season. I would like to see more guests like moose and Rick sammon
Thanks
Bring back Matt.
Hey great show guys. Just want to make a recommendation for a small segment on the show. Would be great if viewers could send in questions to be answered. Other than that keep up the good work.
Great show, loved the compositing and lighting advice. More of all that next series please! But, why are all those Photoshop User magazines in the bin? (See first few seconds of show) Why are you throwing them away? They’re a great resource!
More Matt. Who, by the way, would look great with a waxed handlebar mustache.
excellent show/tips/good tip with the gray bckgrd for extracting/
Loved the tips on background for Compositing. I would like to see more tips on shooting people.
For the 100th episode, make it longer, at least 30mins. You guys always have great info!
Really enjoyed the tips on lighting from RC!
Not sure on the shaving tips from either of you!
We need balloons, Matt & Scott, Moose, Rick Sammon, David Zeiser, and all the other contributors on for the celebration of the 100th episode!
I would love to see Rick Sammon do a segment on composition. LOVED Matt’s tip on backgrounds for compositing.
You guys have done SO MUCH to teach us fledgling photographers. Thank you!
My suggestion is to bring back Matt full time. Nothing against anyone at Kelby media, as everyone seems to be very likeable. When it comes to hosting duties, I think Scott & Matt have the most hosting talent, followed next by RC. I don’t have a single complaint about Larry’s hosting, but for some reason (and this is purely personal opinion), I find myself more interested by one of your shows (and more likely to watch) when either Scott or Matt are there. Maybe it’s because they were the hosts when I first started watching, maybe it’s something else, but I like D-Town better when Matt is here.
We can always send you an email and let you know when Matt’s here so you can watch if that helps.
Great show!
I enjoy all your shows…..
I have never won anything……so PLEASE……
thanks Matt and RC Have great christmas and see you next year
Busy week, so late watching this week.
Excellent show this week, a fitting season finale.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all.
I truly enjoy these shows. Thanks much!
Don’t know why my first comment didn’t post. Just wanted to say thanks. I truly enjoy D Town !
Great series.. look forward for when the next “season” begins. Thanks
First off, you guys rock… as always.
As for next season, I’d love to see more outdoor / nature / landscape shooting tips.
Keep up the great work. Thanks!
Great show. Keep up the good work.
Have a great holiday.
Thanks for the great shows this season. Maybe next season you can include some tips on creative ways to earn income from photography.
Great show guys. I love the lighting tips! Keep em coming.
Great show once again guys !!!
would like to see tips on posing people and any tips and tricks with examples please
Great Show. You guys rock. Next season I would like to see some more landscape shooting.
You all Have a GREAT Christmas!
Where can I get a copy of the 2 Nikon pictures behind you during the program?
RC, thanks for showing the differences between the beauty dish and softboxes. Sorry for spamming last weeks show. I didn’t realize the postings don’t show right away! Oops.
Good season! Thanks a lot.
Hey! A question: When I do post processing on a photo, it looks like the process affect jpegs and raws the same. What is the difference? I can change the exposure for both. What is the benefit of using raw from this perspective?
A comment
Great show. Happy Holidays.
I would like to see some nature and landscape photo tips this next season.
great show.
I loved the section on which background color to use to enable compositing. Since I am an amateur I would like to see tips on how to master the technical side of things. Ie, what settings to use in a given situation. I can’t seem to get beyond that to get to the creative side. I get stuck on should I use aperture priority, etc. and if I do use aperture priority then what speed should I use in combination…..any help in that area would be great!
Been using the colored background gels since the 70′s when I learned it from people like Dean Collins. Also, when it cost about a dollar to take an exposure (using that film stuff and having prints made) we spent time studying the face and then picking the proper angle. I guess it’s easier to shoot a bunch of images and then spend the time at the monitor.
Please do a show on the Pocket Wizard.
I think Matt should go back to being a regular host of D-town TV. Great show, nice tips!
Great episode guys! I loved the compositing tips, especially the gray background.
Earlier comment wanted a show on Pocket Wizards, I agree this would be a really useful tip.
Great tip about the backdrop color!
Great show once again guys. Do you think you can do an episode around my question?
My question is how do you determine camera settings when using flash? Ex-what f/stop, what iso, what shutter speed.
Great show. Loved the tips on backgrounds.
I miss Larry’s Cheap Shots series. What happened to it?
Also D-Town seems to have stopped downloading from iTunes for me. Anyone else having the same trouble?
Finally, How about a show on ways to support not-for-profits with photographic projects.
Keep up the great work!
I have the same problem after updating to my iphone4s. The shows download but I just don’t see them in my list of podcast’s. If you go to the search box within the podcasts and enter DTown they may show up there, mine do. I haven’t told anyone because I don’t know who to tell. I’m glad you brought this up.
nice job
Hey Guys:
Loved the show. Hate that it’s the last one this season. What am I gonna do now???
I’m an experienced photographer/ brand new designer. i NEED that book!!!! PLEASE enter me to win it.
Thanks for the memories…..
Richard
great show again, liked the lighting tips a lot, as well as the green screen myth busting
This was a great show! Great tips and in short really good. Looking forward to next season!
great show!
see you guys in next season…
Great tips this week guys, love the lighting ideas and also the background advice for compositing images. Have a great holiday and hope to see you in 4 weeks. Dont be late now !
Cheers
Phil.
great lighting tips
Another great show. I’d love some tips on how to shoot objects, ie. aircraft or birds, against a bright sky.
Thanks
DBMiller
Great stuff, always love to see “The Matt”. But where is Larry ? Is he on vacation ?
Excellent as always. Thanks.
great show again as always. I’d love to see more workshop shows, so one show dedicated to shooting a particular style of photography. or maybe a whole show on a lightroom workflow and the best way to post process in general.
learned a lot from your show
Great to see Matt back on DTown, but Larry’s great too.
Have a great Christmas holiday. See you next season.
Thanks R.C. for a practicsl, repeatable, basic light set up. It wasn’t all theory, or all gear. Matt, thanks for sparing us those hard lessons you learned about separation and color. Happy Holidays to all at D-Town TV!
Terrific show as always. I never miss an episode! Keep up the great work.
Great show! Yes we miss seeing Matt and Scott on the show but RC and Larry Rock too! Maybe a show with all 4 of you. Do I hear scheduling nightmare? What about a show on how you prepared for the Help-Portrait RC? Also it is great when you have guests on too like Trey.
Great show. Nice to see Matt back. Would love to see some worked retouching examples on the show again a la Killer Tips podcast style.
Excellent!
I love your shows. Keep up the great work.
Great finale, looking forward to next season. Enjoy the holidays
Great show guys. I’m looking forward to next season!
good show guys
Great show
Great show as usual guys.
Great tip, will like to see a live presentation on one of the chapter for the book by Matt Kloskowski “Photoshop Composting”
Grey is the new green, I get it!
How about some tips on producing interesting, non-traditional still life photos?
Both tips VERY USEFUL!!!
This was a great episode. Loved the tips about lighting and extracting. I’ll ask my question again and hope for the best next season. Since it is a DLSR Shooter show maybe you could have an episode of how resolution is handled in each camera and what you think is the better or worse and why? Such as 72dpi @ 43″x52″ or 350dpi 8″x12″. Does it matter since when you change the 350dpi to 72 it gives you a very large inch file. Which is better for printing? Any word on those things would be great. Happy Holidays!!!
Great to see Matt back! Keep it up. While you’re at it why not bring Scott back.
Great Show!!!
Great show! I would like you to spend some time on the accessories you can add to speed lights including soft boxes, other covers and filters.
Another great show. I look forward to seeing your new episodes in a few weeks.
Oh no not 4 weeks, I dan not wait that long.
Happy holidays to tall you guy’s.
Thanks and happy holidays.
Great show cant wait for next ones
Great 2011 season! All the best for 2012, I would love to see more “gear’ tips, what’s hot this month (gear wise), a session on how to show off your images, non-web, ie. Ipad, LCD Projector, etc.
Very cool!
Good show guys. Ireland is not far away you can feel free to send copy of the Corey book. Thanks
Merry Christmas to everyone at Kelby Media.
How about some hot tips for producing awesome web sites. I have to make one next term at college.
Have a great break and come back rested with fresh ideas for the new season.
Always great info. Keep ‘em coming.
great show guys cant wait for number 100!! can you talk about different types of tripods and what kinds you would use for different types of shoots?
This stubble is itchy…..Oh, sorry….How about a more in depth segment on the histogram. I sort of understand it, but sometimes I get confused when I try to rely on it on a location. It seems like it should be simple, but not always.
Great season, looking forward to next season…..MMM Seasons Greetings!
RC, I like your face. Can’t wait for episode 100!!!
Thanks for all the fantastic shows! Looking forward to episode 100! Merry Christmas to you all.
I really enjoy the show. Could you talk about calibration? I have two monitors (one laptop and one 27″ Dell) that I calibrate. They don’t look the same when I done. Why is that. I’m not really sure if I’m setting the choices correctly. I set them both using the same setting (right or wrong). I started calibrating my monitor so that I could print. I now have a printer that can be calibrated, but I’m not sure what I need to know about calibrating it. Thanks so much for your funny and inspiring show. Looking forward to your next season.
Thanks R.C. for the lighting information. Loved the lesson on separation and color as well. Just finished watching a D-Town TV marathon and it was wonderful! Happy Holidays to all!
Thanks for another great show!
Hi, first I want to say that I’m watching your show from the first episode, just like photoshoptv. I’m photography teacher in deaf school and I take tons of inspiration from your shows and I make few topics from each episode. Greetings from Poland
Enjoyed it. Thanks!

Great show guys! Love the lighting tips from RC. Merry Christmas to all!
Love the show Mat and RC – can’t wait the other episodes
Love the portraits guys!! Love the Show… enjoy you holiday
Great tips.
Next season I would like to see more lighting technique oriented segments. Those are great. Especially pointing out where you can go wrong to help avoid common errors.
Let’s have more tips on lighting with speedlights.
Another great episode. Hurry up next saeason.
I always pick-up one or more useful tricks from every episode of Dtowntv. Since I am on a limited budget, I would love to see an episode in which you photographed portraits using a single soft box. Thanks.
Mark
Would love to see techniques focusing on lighting portraiture with a single soft box.
Hi guys — great trips and best wishes for season
Some low light tips would be great. Thanks.
Merry Christmas guys !!!
