Love your show. Thank you for sharing all the information with us.

  109. Putting your lens hood on upside-down (rotated 180 degrees) puts the spring release in a different place. That’s what I do with an R-Strap and have never lost a lens hood.

  110. Jock Goodman says:

NEVER disappointed in dTown. I love the products from Op Tech, and use several. Was so cold here in HAWAII on Sat at an up country rodeo (3000 ft) that with 3 heavy layers and stocking cap, I was still cold, rainy too.
Anyway, my sister could really benefit from Laurie’s book. She lives in Texas and has bald eagles, Buck deer, gators, pelicans etc all in her BACK YARD and a new 300 mm lens and 7D.
    thanks for the show, jock

  111. me says:

I hate to say it, but you need to close caption Jay’s segments. He is difficult to follow.

    Thanks guys! Enjoy the show.

  116. Ken Borgfeldt says:

    Great tips today

  117. rc wisler says:

RC — Your tip about carrying cameras reversed can be expanded. If you also shorten the strap so that it pulls tight against your upper arm when in the shooting position, you get three-point support for your camera. This also puts the lens in the small of your back allowing you to hold it in with your elbow when walking/running.
I hesitate to tell you or Joe McNally how to hold your camera but this has worked well for me since Pentax H2

  118. Francis says:

    Hi guys!

  119. Tim Hoffman says:

You have mentioned MPIX, once or twice. I love it. Looks cool and want to “go there” as my next step.
BUT, I don’t know enough about resolutions, sizes etc.

Can you guys do a “mini class” on prepping a photo to send to MPIX?

  122. Richard Bracegirdle says:

Nice to see you coming back to ‘your roots’ Matt !!

  123. Joanne Berry says:

  130. Luis Sales says:

    Good show guys…

  131. Chuck Sider says:

    Good tips.

    Thanks.

  132. Another great episode. You should do one show where each segment is a different step in printing process on your own inkjet and sending to MPIX> I am sure MPIX would be happy to help with some sponsorship or prizes.

Love the show, thanks guys. It was great to see Matt make a guest appearance, I’d love to see Scott on some time as well.

I have an iPhone tip. If you are running iOS5 you can use the volume up button on your headphones as a remote shutter release cable. I reckon it would work great with an iStabilizer.

  139. Shawn Highfill says:

    Good stuff, but to short.

    Floof and Run

  140. Chris says:

    Welcome back Matt!!

    you guy ROCK!

  143. Lori Barrett says:

Love to see more information on side lighting.

  144. Steve Masters says:

Great show as always. Nice to see Matt back. How can you take pictures of people up close without making them look to old even if they are or to fat in which case they’re a little over weight but they tend to look heavier in the picture. If you could answer the question on one of your shows I sure would appreciate it as I’m getting myself in a lot of crap over it. Also can it be done without photoshop. Cheers

    Steve.

  148. Jasse Chan says:

Although quite short – I liked your mention of Jaimie Ibarra . . . I had no idea that was how your pronounce his name.
