Thanks for posting this, guys! I really enjoyed the show on Monday, but I know I missed a few things. I was looking at the broadcast, and had the comment screen on the other monitor, so I was looking from one to the other.

Your Cyber Monday sale convinced me to get a NAPP membership! Hope to be a member for a long time.

    Thanks,

    John

  7. Jock Goodman says:

NYC is SOOOO far away, I’ll NEVER get there. Thanks for the tour. I remember one before with the little “basket delivery system”. My orders are by phone (NAPP) and I always get an expert to help with my order. Hawaii doesn’t get FREE shipping, but we do get HALF off which is very welcome. I do also try to buy locally when I can, but to walk around and TOUCH all those toys must be a real treat. Thanks for sharing. And remember, Kelby training hasn’t been to Hawaii in quite a while. Please come back. Vegas and Fla are a world away for this little island resident…. well, Big Island resident. JG

Hey guys thanks for all the hard work you put into the show!
I have a question for you. I have watched ALL of your shows and haven’t seen this covered before, so here it is.

    I recently purchased a 50mm 1.8
when I shoot portraits wide open it is hard for me to get sharp focus especially on the eyes. I shoot with a T1I and want to know if you have any focusing tips for me with this lens?

Also if you want to give me a b&h gift card… that would be swell :)

  46. Carol Little says:

Great show! Looks like I need to plan a trip to NYC to spend an entire day in B&H. I do not second the wish for longer show formats. I had to restart this replay 3 times and have yet to get to see beyoned 26 minutes because it just hangs up. I guess because I cannot get really high speed internet in my location.

  47. Carol Little says:

I have been meaning to ask, do you post the names of weekly episode prize winners. I have put off buying Moose’s and Matt’s latest books in hopes of winning. Since I have not been notified, they are going on my Christmas Wish List. Love all your shows!

  48. Jack says:

Although I watched this segment four days after the live broadcast I still found it interesting and informative. Now, how do I encourage my wife to send me to New York, from the west coast, for a shopping spree at B&H? Ahh, a spa trade-off, brilliant!
Thanks for yet another good show. Have you thought about doing one at the Adobe H.O.?

  49. Fred says:

  51. Dave Schultz says:

    Woo Hoo!

  52. I did love the show but for all the free adds kelby has given B&H I am not happy with the cheap little table and backdrops b&H gave Larry and Scott.I think these guys should have stepped up to the level of scott kelbys broadcasts and delivered A more professional show

Can I suggest to do a segment on strobe / flash modifier?

  58. Fred Ranger says:

Hey guys, Is there a show where you talk about shooting 12 vs 14 bits? It affects the file size for sure but does it really make a difference in the color range, DOF or quality of the overall image?

Thx and keep up the great shows!

  59. Leo Addison says:

Awesome Guys, now i got to go to B&H for my birthday.Matt, I would like to know what mac computer u and scott uses? Plus what lens did u use to take the pics of the girl in the red dress? They came out great. Thanks Guys.

So thats whare all my money goes! Great show!

  63. Robert says:

Awesome show guys, I can’t wait to get to B&H someday soon!

  64. Gene Kimball says:

Unfortunately, I did not see the show live but it did enlighten me as to the immense size of B&H and what makes this store different from other photo stores. I have, through naivete, purchased a D700 at another store because of a promised lower price that was nothing more than a scam. It ended up costing me more than it would have it I had bought the camera at B&H. It was a lesson learned the hard way.

  65. sierng says:

    Great show as always guys.

  66. Dennis Hughes says:

Thanks for an unusual show. Nice change.

  67. Tom Mueller says:

You walked by the iPad counter – how about a segment on the iPad and photography?

  68. Hend says:

    Great show

why don’t u make an episode about tripods
different choices according to the budget
i think it’s a big topic and worth a separate episode

  69. great show guys have to go to NYC

  70. David Hulings says:

    Great Show! B&H is unbelievable!

Hey Scott and Matt, will you do a show with emphasis on the differences with all the fash modes ie. slow sync, front curtain, rear curtain, etc. using different shutter speeds and apertures.

You guys are great and I watch every show and I also belong to NAPP and Kelby Training because of DtownTV.

  71. Ron Weikle says:

Do I ever need to make a trip to NY. Great show!!

  72. emilio b says:

wow , to say the least

  73. Doug says:

This is so cool, hope this will be an annual thing.

  74. Antonino says:

I was hoping you guys would post this.

    Thanks!

  75. Hey Scott and Matt, I was watching episode #50 and have a question about reducing the file size.

When you pick a lower resolution in the camera, does it use less of the sensor… or use the whole sensor and combine pixels? If the latter, does that improve your low light sensitivity… as bigger pixels would?

    Thanks
    Dave

  76. Warren says:

Despite my personal astoningly bad experience with B&H, this was an enjoyable show. And nicely produced. Thanks.

  81. Paul Traikos says:

I do a lot of online shopping from B & H great store. I have a tip for Larry I have made a lot of light stands by using cement in a paint can and a pipe or stick embedded in it. Using a c clamp to hold things in place.

  82. JKR says:

BH looks awesome, thanks for the tour!

  83. Donald says:

B&H is like Disneyland for photographers!

  84. You guys rock! Always a great show, but I do have a question. I recently did a wedding with my Canon T1i. Although I got great images and there all relatively sharp, some of the images shot at 100 ISO have a bit of noise. I was using 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 is. what can i do to keep this from happening?

  85. Paul Morgan says:

time for a shopping trip to New York $$$$

  86. Tim Ellis says:

You guys are still rocking! :)

  87. lisainPDX says:

  89. Andy R says:

    Fun show. Some day…..

  90. John A. Fugel says:

Whenever I can get into NYC I always try to do two things: get tickets for a Broadway show and spend several hours at B&H. (I don’t buy onsite, however, because the NY sales tax is a killer, but it’s great to actually see and feel the products up close before ordering online.
I wish you had mentioned/shown the conveyer belt system that B&H uses to send down store purchases from the warehouse above the selling floor. It’s a great example of logistics at work.
Hope to see you guys at PSW in Orlando!
    John

  91. lyn says:

Hi. Great show. I have re-watched it and am still looking for any of my questions to show up in the comments…and they didn’t. They looked like they went through, but I never saw them. Are there comments and questions that just didn’t make it because of time or did I do something wrong? Thanks so much!

  92. Peter J says:

Useful info on cameras as usual

  93. Nat Langdon says:

I normally love the show and have watched since episode 1- but an hour advert for B&H – no thanks

    Nat

  94. Bobby says:

    Good job as always guys….

  95. Derick says:

Just watched this episode. Good stuff. I’ve only been to NYC twice and each time the only purpose was to visit the B&H store.

  96. DTown TV and B&H – What a combo! Great show!

  97. Michael says:

I agree with the other comments – what a great idea!

  98. wow, B&H is really huge! If I go to NY I’ll definately visit.
    Great show guys!

  99. Karl Hill says:

I love your shows. I watch them every week and miss them when you are taking a deserved break. But, when you guys are showing a lense or accessory, please stop moving your hands so much. We can’t see the item you are holding if your hands are moving so much.
    Thanks
