Love your show !! Would love a copy of Moosees book !!!!
Another great show! Thanks for all your hard work!
Larry was wearing a Columbia fishing shirt. Some of their shirts are vented in the back to make it cooler across the shoulder blades. On some of their hunting vests there is an additional “pocket” in the back above the waist where a shot bird could be stuffed which is great for photo gotchas.
Great Show
Another ROCKIN’ episode
Another fine show, guys. Particularly enjoyed Cliff Mautner’s piece. We hear a lot about setups, Photoshopping, but we don’t often hear about those spontaneous capture moments. Really appreciate it.
Suggestion: Review the cutaway piece before you step before the camera, so that you may relate to the content, pace or tone of the piece as you return. Makes the show look and feel more continous, and integral.
Again, thanks for the show, gentlemen. It’s made a difference in my photography.
w
Great show!
I know this is probably the wrong way to win something, but I have never seen a worse fitting shirt than the one that Larry was wearing…..
I hope Moose’s book has a tip on where he gets the buffalo hairbrush.

Thanks guys!
Watching since day 1 and I look forward to your show every week. Keep up the great work.
Great show!
Thanks for another great show guys.
Book! Right here!
It would be awesome to win this. Moose is my idol as a photographer. If I can do half as much as he does in my career it would be an achievement.
Thanks!
Just wish you guys were on for an hour. AND more than once a week. It is just painful waiting a week between shows.
Hey Guys thanks for another great program.
I too would like to know a bit more about memory cards, like is there a real difference between the standard SD Cards and those called Extreme, and if so why would you use one over the other?
Another great show! Thanks!
Great show, thanks.
I want that book!
Thanks for another job well done.
enjoyed the show!
Awesome show and awesome tips.
Hey another great show guys! Could you do a show on picking AF points (i.e. when to use all AF points, when to pick a certain AF point.) Thanks that would be great. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I could really use that Moose book. Just sayin’
Great Show. Great guests.
Well done boys! Another informative show!
I have an iPad and want to shoot “tethered” with it, I hear it can be done un-tethered with an Eye-Fi card and an app called ShutterSnitch. Anyone have any experience with this?
Great tips.
Thank you for a great show. Any advice on which dynamic auto focus area would be best for various situations?
Look foward to every episode. You guys are great. I’m learning lots in my retirement. I also recommend it to my friends. Thanks so much!
Thanks guys for sharing. Moose is awesome.
Hello Guys,
Wonderful show fantastic job!
Thanks for the great show.
Also, I think someone else mentioned it, but if you use the AF-ON back button with continuous focus, you should be able to lift off the shutter and still keep tracking.
Thanks guys for another great episode. I have suffered the pain of the “out of focus money shot” with a Nikon.
Great Episode
Thanks, you guys have become regulars around here on Thursday nights.
funny, witty, and as always – awesome!
thanks,
Matt
I really enjoy your show!
Hi Guys. Great show!! Thanks from Brazil!!

Great show guys! Please enter me in the drawing for Moose Peterson’s Book.
Thank you for all that you do to make these shows available to the photographer’s world!
Great show! Thanks!
Great show this week guys! (as always!) Hey I was wondering if you guys could either do a D-town show or a Kelby Training video on indoor sports photography (ie. basketball in a gym….something like that…low light high action stuff? It’s tricky!) Thanks again for all you do!
And as always….Kim Doty ROCKS TOO!!!
another great episode
Great tip about checking the focus setting on the front of a Nikon. Amazing how often that setting changes on its own!
Thanks again, guys!
love the look of that Captured book!
Great tips keep them coming guys
Thank You
You guys rock!
Awsome!!!!
Hey Guys,
Great show!! I’ve tried the AI Servo on my canon 40D, but never get it to work correctly. Do you have to set the focus to the center focus point as well? Also, should I turn off IS (image stabilization)?
Thanks for the Tips!
Dennis
Hi guys. nice show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I watched this episode, I was thinking I was going to comment on your tip related to focusing but at the end of it, I have to say, hearing Cliff Mautner talk about his work and sharing some of the special moments he has captured I was totally syched, that was awesome. All I want to do right now grab my camera and look for a picture to make.
Thanks for another great episode guys!
Leigh
Nice wardrobe color coordination!
Hey guys, awesome show as always.
I am a huge landscape and wildlife enthusiast and I’m thinking that book would be a great addition to my photo library

Good show guys
I watch a LOT of your GREAT shows. What is the musical referents that are usually on Scott’s shirts that he wheres on the shows?
Just watching DTown for the first time and am planning to pass the link on to friends! I’m very much a beginner but love your tips.
Boffo show guys.
Great show as usual!
Great show guys!
Enjoyed Scott’s anecdote about losing focus during the football game. I’ve had the same thing happen while shooting horse jumping and body surfers.
Fast becoming my favorite podcast
Enjoyed the show! thanks
Moose is the best. You two aren’t bad either!
Thanks once again guys !
good show- gotta get some shirts!
Scott looks very suave in that jacket. Nice break from all black. Love the Moose and I’m thrilled for him that he created such a beautiful book. His DTownTV ad is still the funniest.
Informative as usual. Thanks Scott, Matt, and Larry!
Another great show.
The one thing that drives me crazy watching this show (as a podcast via iTunes) on my iPad is when we hit the Kelby Training ads…
Where is the Kelby Training iPad app, guys?!!!!
Love the show and great tips!
Great info on focus. Do we have any idea what Servo means?
Hi,
Great show and that book looks interesting.
Moose!
Another great show.
Joe
Thank you both, you really do a great job! I look forward to this because you never know what you will learn.
Another great show. Thanks for all your efforts!!!
Got tears in my eyes when I saw Cliff”s last picture (on the cemetery). It really moved me. And I don’t even know these guys. Guess that makes it a really good picture. Great show guys!
Great show. I would also be interested in a show segment that discusses AF points.
Keep up the good work guys. Love your stuff.
I’m so glad I’m watching D-Town on a regular basis now. Learning so much and getting so inspired. Thanks a bunch!
Great show. How about tips on shooting indoor sports like basketball or hockey?
give me the book, please…
Cliff is right …its all about the “moment” and somehow you always seem to know when it is…hope your in focus.
Another great show, guys! Scott, the v-flat piece was terrrific! Did Larry’s shirt have a NAPP logo on it? Are you selling these on the NAPP website?
Matt, it sounded like you said “Canyon” instead of “Canon” twice on the broadcast. Might have been me, but I got a chuckle out of it. My Canon-shooting friends might think otherwise!
Cliff’s gravesite picture still brings tears to my eyes every time I see it. We all want to get that one “shot”. He gets it more often than not.
–John
AH! I want that book, I have never shot wildlife but I live next to a lake and have been wanting to get out there. This book is definitely going to be a great place to start.
I WOULD LIKE A BOOK PLEASE
Great give away. Great show as usual. How about an episode dealing with media and storage devices.
Great Show, the book looks awesome.
Could you please remove the mark/nail from the wall behind Scott’s head, over the 2nd photo from the left. I thought it was a mark on my monitor and I spent 5 minutes trying to clean it off.
Thanks,
Chuck
Greetings from Spain!

Only recently I discovered your shows on the internet. And I love watching them. The tips about using the camera, the cheapshots, the photographers that appear on the show: superb!
Can’t wait till next week. I’m from the Netherlands so this is not to get your book but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your show.
great wedding photography tip
Thanks as always for the great show. I really was moved by the image Cliff showed of the groom standing at his grandmothers graveside, such a powerful photograph.
Hi guys!
Just love the Moose, you guys too!!!
You guys always “Capture” the perfect show!
G’day Guys
Golden opportunity missed. Why weren’t you both wearing fishing shirts (sorry, photographer’s shirts) when you came back from Larry’s segment?
Hey everyone,
Great show again.
But is it possible that you can tell us where we can find the great brad stand?
Perry
Cliff Mautner rocks! I’m so glad you guys discovered him. I can’t wait to see who else you discover in the future.
Excellent show!
A request for a future show: explain the “3D following” AF-mode and how to make the most of it; do you use it and if so, do you ever switch it off?
Hey, there are lots of moose in my part of the world. Moose’s book would fit in perfectly here! Great segment today explaining focus , you guys.
I told my frends from the fotographic-club in the Netherlands about this and they loved it, so as I.
Great show again guys.
Regards
Orjan from norway
Great show guys! Keep up the good work.
Another great show. I could really use that Moose book.
I like your show very much!
Great show! thanks all!
Love the show. It is my weekly view while I’m cleaning all my camera equipment!
Very cool show. I will be ordering the new book here in Australia from the states, for some reason I can get it a lot quicker that way.
I have been rereading The Moment It Clicks and the books you guys show on DTWON everyone should get if they are serious about becoming a pro.
Thanks guys.
Thanks for all the great tips.
Great show! love all the info. Keep up the great work. THANKS
I Left a comment
Great show guys!
Hi guys !
As a young new french photographer, I wanted to ay that your shows are great : very clear, funny and I’m always happy to watch them.
And it helps me improve my english ! (although i don’t understand everything
jesus, Scott, you speak really fast for me
please think about the poor young french students who are watching you )
Anyway, keep up the good work, we love you from here
A bientôt (see you soon)
Great segment on the wedding photography and feeling the moment. I got chills just looking at his shots and the one with the bride and groom at the grandmothers grave brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks Guys
Just love your show
Cliff Mautner did not give a tip, but he remind us what is photography about! Thanks!
Thank you for the info on Autofocus, great to know. I was not sure what the difference was between single and servo.
Can’t wait to see Moose’s book. Great show again guys.
Hi Guys! I love ur shows! Keep on shooting!
Awesome show…keep up the great ideas
Another place to error on focusing is accidentally switching the lens to manual focus.
At my 2nd wedding, I had taken some tripod mounted images in the dark with the Nikon VR (vibration reduction) switched off. In the dark, I switched it back on but did not realize I switched the lens to manual focus instead of using the VR switch. Shot a whole series of evening dancing shots not quite in focus and with the music did not hear not notice auto focus was not working until much later. It is something I watch a lot closer now.
thank you
Always great info…….you guys rock
Good show!
Hey guys — I’ve had my D90 for 3 years and am only now figuring out how to really USE it over the past few months — big thanks to you guys!
Great show!
Scott, on your sports focus issue, would using the rear focus AF/ON button not solve your problem. I had a couple of automotive sports guys turn me on to using that back button for focus for pretty much for the very reason of being able to keep tracking the subject but able to use the shutter at my discretion.
Anyway, great show!!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the great tips!
Great idea for using the V-flats as a background.
Thanks to Cliff, I tried my first weddings this summer, and I really enjoyed it.
Some samples here : http://justenoces.free.fr/j/
All the best from France.
Fantastic tips this week guys. Thanks.
Now, about that book…
great show again guys. Some ‘fishing’ stores have stuff on sale right now, end of season and all, good time to get one of those shirts Larry mentioned. cheers.
Matt and Scott,
I have enjoyed your shows from the very beginning. Please keep up the great work!!
If possible could you have a show demonstrating shooting technique with the big Nikkor zoom lenses. I am having problems obtaining crisp images of paragliders with my new Nikkor 200-400 f4 VRII. For some reason the lens seems to “seek” while I am setting up for the shot. When there are three or 4 gliders in the image I may only have one actually in focus. The lens is busy trying to focus on all the subjects in the air while not getting any of them sharp. Why?
Thanks for your consideration. Jim
Thanks for all the fine tips and tricks
The book looks nice. Well done guys!
Enjoyed the show… Thanks!
I want Mr Moose’s book. Thanks guys! Great episode!
Excellent book. Wish to have it soon. It’ll be a bonus if I win. Thanks guys!
Good show. Cliff’s segment was very moving. How about a discussion of image stabilzation and when to use what mode on the lenses (Canon and Nikon). Thanks for all your hard work.
Love the show. Keep up the great work.
Great episode, guys! Cliff Mautners shots gave ME goose bumps.
Keep up the good work….great show
You guys rock !
Great show as always
Thanks for another fun episode of D-TownTV!
Scott, I love the chapter intros in your book, but are Moose’s up to scratch? I need to know
Another great show!
Pick me, Pick me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great show as always!
The wedding photography segment with Cliff Mautner was great. It made me really think about catching the moment with any photo I take.
Awesome as always guys! Quit promoting books – I’m going broke and can’t afford good lenses! And a shameless plug for my sad little site http://howardpa.zenfolio.com. SOME day somebody will suggest my puny efforts as a “look-see”. Riiiiight.
Love the show and love Moose!
Is it ironic that Moose is a wildlife photographer…with a name like Moose?
Great show!! Thanks sooo Much.
Tips on AF-area Mode as well would be great!!!
Are there other ways to tell if you are in continuous shooting mode besides listening for the beep (many of us have disabled the beep all together)?
Scott, Matt, I’m captivated by your programmes!
How’s that for sucking up for Moose’s book!
The information about auto focus was very helpful. Great show. Thanks. Richard
You rocks, rocks, rocks.
Awesome tip from Clif Mautner! Thanks this was right up my alley..
I’m finding that I learn a little less each time I watch an episode.
Which actually speaks very well of your show. Cliff’s tip was very good. I love when I can capture a “moment”
You are the greatest. Ever think about 2 shows a week?
I am looking forward to receiving Moose Peterson’s new wildlife photography book. Thanks guys.
Good show! Its great that you have all the shows available, but I was wondering if you could make some sort of search available using keywords from each episode. Then a user could look up everything on focus or lenses or focus without having to open each episode to see the description of something that you may be looking for that you previously watched. It would be a really useful tool, especially because you cover so much in each episode. This would be great not only for DTown, but the other weekly videos too. Maybe it is already available but I havent seen it on the site? Thanks!
Greetings from Romania
Great Stuff as always, Love the Studio Tips, keep ‘em coming..You Guys (ROCK)
Great episode! Moose’s book looks awesome.
I’m sure that I will have loved this* episode after I have watched it. Similarly, I’m sure that I would love the (insert prize package here) if I were to win it.
Unfortunately, neither of those will happen until after I get home from work today.
* There really aren’t all that many times you get to use future perfect and subjunctive mood in the same paragraph; the opportunity must be embraced.
Love the show guys, I actually got goosebumps from Clif Mountners photos!!
Keep up the good work!
I was just putting Captured by Moose on my Christmas list, how cool would it be to get it from you guys!
Thanks for another great show!
Your show is great! I always learn something each week. Started watching the 2nd Cliff Mautner episodes yesterday. They are totally worth it. Hope to finish them today.
I also hope I’m randomly selected to win this book.
I’ve seen all the shows. Great! Now send me Moose’s Book
Love the preview of Moose’s book. It is going on my Christmas List.
GREAT SHOW – told my photo club how great you guys are.
Thanks
Nice brown shirts this time guys
That story of Cliff was great!
Wow, those wedding photographs are amazing, really moving. What’s more amazing though is that Moose Peterson Book on my hands!
Moose book!
Another great episode…Can’t wait for the next one!
Good show Thanks
Looking forward to getting Moose Peterson
new book.
Fantastic show – I’ve been looking for a great book on wildlife photography for years. Looking forward to another great book to help me brush up on my skills.
Great show
Thanks for the focus info! love cliff’s tips-more please!
Hi Guys,
Great show as usual. One correction, on Canons, it’s One Shot for single shot AF, AI Servo for focus Tracking and AI Focus for hybrid, 1st shot is one shot then focus tracking turns on for the rest of the sequence.
Now, do I get Moose’s Book?
=)
Moose rocks!
My computer ate my comment!
Anyway-I am putting this on my Christmas list and if Santa or D-Town decide not to deliver-It is going to be a tome-forme-fromme gift.
Hi! Great show!
Btw can you make a clip about metering modes(spot metering, center weighted metering and multi)?
Good tips on the Vflats. I would have liked a little more clarity on the 3 Canon focusing modes (I know you guys are Nikon guys.)
Great topic on the wedding photography, this is what it is all about!
Hey Guys: thanks for the show. You always have some great tips for different skill levels and, without getting to complex and hard to understand. Keep up the great work.
Can’t wait for your show each week. Love it.
Great show. Question about the online video. Are they downloadable for viewing later.
Thanks.
Another great show. Thanks.
Great show. Those wedding photographs blew me away.
Kevin
Great show as usual! Love Larry’s cheap shots…I have a fishing jacket that I use in the same way!!
What Cliff said about motivation is sad but true. I mean, being a wedding photographer sometimes is not that exciting… some people, even the couple, treat you like a troublemaker. Just to say that sometimes you got to find an artistic motivation outside the appreciation of your clients.
Hope you guys never stop.
Your tips are awesome.
Thanks for the show.
Another great episode!
Glad to see cheap shots has spun off. What’s next?
I learn more and more when I watch your show
Moose is the best! Congratulations on your gorgeous new book, Moose! I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
i just wanna have the book, is this okey for you? don’t mind. great show at all
Great show
Great show!
Great Show.
captivating…
Another great show! Especially enjoyed Cliff’s tip on “catching the moment”. Thanks guys.
YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY ROCKS ME GUYS, IS SCOTT´S THUMBS SPEEDLY DRUMMING ON THE BOARD,WHILE WAITING FOR MATT´S LECTURE TO END UP ! FIRST PART OF TODAY´S SHOW. I DO LOVE THE WAY YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO EVERY THURSDAYS FOR US PHOTO CRAZES. THANK YOU.
great show as usual
you look fine in brown
Thanks for the show. =)
Great show! Having done many weddings, I totally got that segment. Thanks!
Another great show!
Focus–how about using the other focus controls?
I really need Mooses book to help with my wildlife photography
really enjoy all your information, but it is your presentation that really makes photography and learning fun. very upbeat and casual and most important -informative-keep up the good work!
this is an awesome program…been a follower from the first episode.
More good tips. Loved Cliff’s tip. Very inspiring.
Thanks again guys
Thanks for a another great show….
Great show!
Awesome Show as usually
pick me! pick me! love moose peterson! love the show!
Thanks for the tips
Greetings from snowy Sweden! – If you pick me….could you guys sign the book?
Thanks for a great show – it’s taught me alot.
Great stuff – keep it coming ……
Love the show – Thanks for all the shows and training you do.
Guys! thank you very much for this show! It has help me a lot to improve my photos! (I’m an amateur).
Thank you for yet another great and funny show.
It would be great if you could have a flash tutorial or flash tip section.
Great show, you’ve now had a few above average shows in a row! Cliff Mautner’s tip was very good and a good change compared to the technical tips (altough I agree with you about the Nikon AF-switch 100%).
Excellent segment. Speaking of focus, I have a 28-135mm kit lens. The auto focus stopped working. Manual focus OK. When hanging down the lens stays retracted. I’ve cleaned the contacts, no change. I’m looking for repair information. Canons cost to cure appears prohibitive cost/value.
Keep the shows coming.
Cliff Mautner reminds us why we do what we are doing. Thanks!
Another great show! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome show! Thanks for the tips.
Was that a “cheap shot” at Larry?
Really enjoyed the show. I always leave this show with more than I started. Thanks
Good infor in this package
just wanted to say hi guys…so, here it goes “HI GUYS !”
Thank u for the show
Up til now my favorite wildlife photo book has not been a book at all. It has been Moose’s video tutorials.
Hey guys,
I loved the show, especially Cliff Mautner’s tip. I’m more and more tempted to subscribe to Kelby training
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this focusing tip was already mentioned in one of the previous episodes?
Another great show guys, must get a copy of Moose’s book.
Loved the piece with Cliff and his “goosebumps” and “chills.” Oh, so TRUE!!!! And of course it goes without saying that you guys ROCK!!!!
Another great show from the “Masters”
Learning to shoot seems easier when you guys are the teacher.
Another good show… always enjoy them!!!
I agree about Becker’s Cheap Shots, and I look forward to them each week. Will def link up to his new blog.
Hey!
could u maybe tell us all about metering modes? matrix metering etc.?
Great show! I would be interested in a segment that covers AF points.
Great show guys.. Nothing beats learning for free from the Legendaries., given that photography is a very expensive, free is almost non-existent.
Matt – digging the non-glasses thing. Very non-geeky… lol
¡ʞɔoɹ sʎnb noʎ
Loved the show, great tips! I look forward to watching each time. Always get something new and useful.

As mention above, great show;
Great show again guys.

Good show as usual.
Would like to see more about preparing images for printing. Subjects like sharpening, soft proofing color profiles, adjusting levels/curves etc. Doesn’t matter which software you use as the fundamentals are the same.
Keep up the good work!
Oh, and please send me that Moose Petersen book
I love the sound of Scott’s shutter! Where can I download the ring-tone
im a noob at photographing and i would like the book

Golden opportunity missed there, you should both have been wearing big grins and fishing shirts (sorry photographer’s shirts) when you came back from Larry’s segment.

Great review of Moose’s book, good reminder about Single-Servo vs. Continuous. I’m always in AF-C, using AF-On button to lock focus
Thanks for keeping things in focus for us. Nice episode.
Can’t wait to see that Moose Peterson book. Looks great. Make sure you check out his web site. Lots of great tips and sample photos.
The piece by Cliff Mautner was so telling, so inspirational, so good, that I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you guys on a job well done.

Moose’s book would be a nice addition to my library
Thanks for the focus tips! Had to catch up and watched back-to-back shows, you guys ever think of expanding the length of the show?
Hey – would love the book, but mostly thanks for the ongoing inspiration. Well done!
Moose’s book looks super!
an old dog learning new tricks—thanks (c:
great show
Looking forward to getting “Captured”!
Great show.
Love your show! Also love to have Moose’s book!
Thanks for keeping dtowntv free.
It looks like a great book.
Would love to get a copy of Moose’s book, not just for his photography and information; but also to check out Jessica’s layout of the book (as a fellow graphic designer).
Thanks for the show!
I want to enter the contest!
Cool tip about the wedding shots. I’ll have to try to translate that into the types of shots I take.
Great show, especially the thoughts about finding a ‘moment’ in daily photography.
Just found the show last week. Sorry I’ve been missing it.
Great segment with Cliff, and very good advise. It’s those extra moments that really capture the mood of a wedding. I’ve used this same type of thinking with concert photography where there’s always a lot going on, but if you’re constantly looking you’ll capture some great shots.
Thanks guy’s!
I love your weekly episodes! I’d love to win “Captured”!
Moose’s new book looks great.
Another great show. Thanks for going through the continuous autofocus modes.
Excellent show as always. Particularly liked Cliff Mautner’s piece.
Great show guys, and Moose Peterson’s looks like a wonderful book.
Really like your show.
great episode. So on the canon there is a third mode AI focus. When is it a good time to use this?
Great show as always guys thanks for all your great tips.
Another great show. Thanks
Love your show!
Another great episode. I think I could find a spot on my shelf for Moose’s book right between Scott and David Z’s books.
good show!
I always learn sometihing!!
Keep up the good work!
Being a fisherman and would be photographer I liked Larry Beckers cheap shots this time..
another great show
I a fan of you guys and Moose. I’d love to read his book. Thanks.
Keep up the good work.
I’m glad to see that you’re using more close-up and insert shots in the show. It looks great!
BTW, I’ve been using the Columbia fishing shirts as photo shirts since 2003! I have a half-dozen of them in my closet right now and took took three of them with me to shoot in Florida last week.
You can usually get excellent prices at SierraTradingPost.com.
I’m also a fly fisher, which is how I first discovered the shirts.
John
Another great episode!! I have learned so much from you guys!! keep up the great work. I also would love something new to read!
G’day, another great show
Congrats to Moose, the book looks gorgeous.

Great show! BTW, I just got three pics back from my print co. where I used last weeks tip from Matt on creating a matte frame. They look awesome, what a great tip, thanks.
Thx guys
Only one black shirt .

What a great show. Informative, lively and just a lot of fun.
It’s now bookmarked!
Great show, thanks a lot!
Hey guys! Instead of choosing between single or continuos focus mode I always shoot in automatic (on a D80). It works great for me.
Thanks for another great show!
You guys are stoned!!!

Pro-Foro and other manufacture, because it means a lot nowdays.
Hy guys ! terrific show and fantastic activities all together. Too bad I cannot come to your workshops and lie meetings as I live in Europe. But your way of teaching is number 1 in the world !
Alessandro
Thanks for the effort!
Would love to get a copy of that book.
But I see I’m not the only one
Another superb show, great guys
I see why that last photo from Cliff won an award, I felt the emotion too.
Great show.
Can’t wait to see the new Moose book. I could wait a little if my name is drawn.
Thanks again, always a pleasure to watch.
I bet you guys have fun doin this show..
Nice show, guys!
Great show, I like the anecdote about continuous focus, it’s always nice to have things on more than an academic/hypothetical level.
Hi guys, another great show. Cliff’s wedding photos were out of this world.
Great show again!
Somewhat like Larry Becker, I use a fishing vest (instead of shirt) for my photography accessories. I just haven’t gotten around to e-mailing him with my idea. Guess I missed an honorable mention. I have been watching the show since the beginning and have picked up quite a few good tips for my photography work. Keep the tips coming.
Awesome again, really liked Cliff’s tip on wedding photography.. Can’t wait to check out Moose’s new book!
Great show guys…discovered you a few weeks back and have now caught up with all the shows.
Good show, Moose’s book looks interesting.

great thnx to show how to inspire and get self motivate (wedding photographer).
i ain’t photographer but that teaching will really help me inspire my self on my design works.
Good show chaps. Keep up the good work.
I think you could have mentioned using the AF-on button on the camera (those that have it) as an alternative to half pressing the Shutter. I know some people use this button rather than the shutter button, as there is no chance of the shutter being release accidentally.
Great show, guys. Need more Mautner!
Very informative show!
Another great show!
NICE SHOW!
Great show. you have a nice model.
Inspirational lesson from Cliff Mautner! Loved it. Oh yeah, you guys rock!
Hi guys !
Another nice show, and good tips about the autofocus modes.
Sorry about that, but I’m glad to see that even the great pros sometimes makes mistakes like the beginners! (it happen to me a quite same story with the buffer and cont’ autofocus while shooting a surf session)
More over, I’m little bit disappointed … : no more “rockin’ comments” after Larry’s tips ???
Great
Great show
That book is a great complement to my new 300/2,8 Lens……
Hi guys, my brother-in-law who is a veterinarian and a wild life photographer would love this book; he would get it after I read it myself, of course. Keep up the good work.
Love the show. Keep up the good work.
Great photo focus tip this week!
Thanks,
Ross
Great show guys!
Really appreciate Scott Bourne’s twitter about this show, since then been watching. There’s not enough of good programmes like this. If only it lasted longer.
Thanks,
Regards from leafy Surrey, England.
Brad.
I loved the show, especially the information on auto focus. My favorite type of photography is wildlife photography so I would love to have Moose Peterson’s book!
Another great show!
Glad this show is still ongoing after such a long time – free tutorial for all! Thanks all for making this possible.
great show – the wedding bit was great
Great show. After years of switching between the different focusing modes I now have it always on Continuous with AF activation turned off and do all my focusing with the AF-ON button. It gives me complete control whether I’m shooting studio portraits, events, sports, landscape, wildlife, etc.
Cliff’s photos are awesome..
can we have a tip about that rim light around subject’s face.
hi
great tips, thank you guys
Hi
This is the best to lern camera tec.

Goose Bumps WOW I was really moved on that photo. Keep up the great work
I learn something every week!
like the wedding segment a lot!
I’m not a wildlife photographer myself, but Captured seems to be a great read.
I don’t often use continuous auto-focus mode but wondering how that works when you have back button focus setup?
Great show, guys!
Great show. Would love to see Moose’s book!
Fantastic the shoots by Cliff Mautner… just spectacular! and the new book looks awesome… Good Job!
Great show! Mautner is awesome.

Great show, watch them all!
Great show ……
You guys Rock!
Moose Rock’s!
More Cliff!
I have just started watching this podcast and I have got to say I have learned a lot from the show. Even though I shoot with a Sony I try and find where/how to get the settings or techniques mentioned in each episode and have seen my photos get better.
I would like to know if you can cover any of the Sony Alpha models in your show as I know there are a bunch of us out there that have Sony’s.
guys please do a review of the nikkor af 80-200mm thanks.
great show!!!
I enjoy your show guys!
You guys rock! And your giveaways are great, too.
Moosesawski!

Cliff Mautners segment really moved me, straight off the couch and back behind the camera, well done and thankyou.
Thanks!!
D-Town TV Rokz! Moose Peterson Rockz!! Great Podcast ever~
Quick Question… what raw format do you recommend? DNG? or each manufacturer specific?
Would love to “Capture” Mr. Peterson’s book.
Love those cheap shots
Hi Guys… great show as always. I just have a few issues with my flash that i need help with.
My current gear:
D90
24mm 2.8
or
50mm 1.8
SB-600
my camera settings are:
matrix meter
af-c
ISO-Auto
my flash is set to TTL
The problem is, whenever I focus an image, shoot the image with a flash, the first time i shoot it, the image comes out just fine. The second time i take the same shot or refocus it to a different focus point and shoot it, the flash fires but the image on my LCD is too dark and the LCD on the flash flashes a -3.0. I would then have to take another shot twice even sometimes three times to get a decent shot because the first 3 shots are all dark. This would most of the time happen when the flash is connected to my hot shoe and its set to TTL but when i take it off the hot shoe and change it to Commander mode and have my flash act as a slave flash, it doesnt happen as often as when its on the hot shoe.
What does this mean and how do i cure this problem? I have even reset the settings in my camera and it still does it. Please help me.
Thank you guys!
Thanks chaps – interesting, as ever.
Great show, I could use some help with wildlife photography Moose’s book I hope would be great and help me.
Long live the AF-on button!
(Though it would be nice to have it trigger VR when I want.)
Love to watch your show since episode 1! Greetings from Germany.
Another good show. What brand of shirt?
Great show as always.
What’s happened to Matt? I’ve had a look back at early episodes and the poor guy seems to have aged by a decade! 20 months ago he was fresh faced; now he has the look of a man struggling to pay the mortgage
Thanks for the refresher on focus options – reminded me of episode 7,8 & 9
Just discovered dtowntv! where have I been? this show is priceless, thank you.
Like always, loved the show! keep it up!
Grat show!
I like the tips on wedding photography.
Thanks and “rock on”!
Martin
You guys are BIG in Japan!! and Moose too
Love the comparison of cannon vs Nikon focus modes explanation. Cleared up some questions
Great show.
Love Cliff Mautner tips and Scott Studio tips.
Great show. Loved the photo’s of Cliff Mautner!
Moose Peterson has very instructive short videos on his web site for free, and he has made lessons for KelbyTraining.com packed with information. He teaches from experience and does it well.
You’re great!!!
I’ve been watching the shows form the very beginning and I enjoyed every single one of them without exception. Please keep them coming.
Greetz from Belgium,

Great tips on autofocus and creating moments.
Like always, great show. “Feeling the moment”, that’s what it’s all about – and I’m not talkin’ the Hokey Pokey here!
Great as always. More stuf from Moose.
Hey guys I liked the show
Great show as always. More Moose in the shoow
Great show guys!
Fantastic as always. /m
Thanks for the show. I always learn something from each episode. Keep up the good work.
How is it possible for Scott and Matt to always be on DTownTV but you sometimes have fill-ins for PhotoShopUserTV? Hmmm? I think you like DTown more.
More useful info. Thanks guys!
Long time Watcher first time poster. Watched every ep of DTown, Photoshop User TV & Lightroom Killer Tips, A personal thanks to your whole team for developing my passion. For those of us who do this as Amateurs in the truest sense ‘The pure love of it’ you guys really do a wonderful job in supporting that. Rock on with ya bad selves. Peace.
Good show as always!
…but, if you talk about other camera systems, other than Nikon, please take your time and study it. Canon doesn’t have AI Single autofocus mode. It is called One Shot. Mistakes like this will confuse newbies
Enjoyed the show again. Been a loyal fan since day 1!
Great Show
Cliff’s work is beautiful! Say, Matt, whatever happened to our group shots on the Sausalito Photo Walk?
There is 2 things that annoys me.
1: Bad lightning on the cameras laying around on the desk, we dont see the details.
2: Stop wearing black stuff, it really eats the lights!
Other than that, cool show. Maybe a bit much Kelby this and kelby that.
Book please
Another great episode –Thanks!!
Loves Cliff’s piece, keeping the inspiration going!
Great tips on wedding photography. I a anxious to see Moose’s new book. . .and even more anxious to win it!
Another great show with great guests. Would love a copy of Moose’s book.
Love the show, keep up the good work!
Larry now has the best shirts. Matt has to step it up.
Great book by Moose Peterson!
Great show guys.
I have a tip on how to see your battery status on a Canon 7D with battery grip.
Press Menu > go to the 3rd yellow icon > and select Battery info.
You can also see the health of your batteries. and shutter count.
Greetings from Denmark.
Another great show.
Have Moose autograph the book (for me) : )
Wm
Great show again, I recieved my copy of Captured this morning here in Perth, Western Australia. Man what a great book. I would love to see Moose have a show like Dtown all about wildlife photography, wouldnt we all, hahah.
thanks again for this great show. keep up the great work.
I’ ve been a keen follower of Dtown since the first season. From not knowing what’s “A”, “S”, “P” and “M” to today’s query of how to get moving pictures, which was beautifully covered in this episode. Thank you Dtown for answering most if not all my queries as an budding photographer.
Keep up the good work!
It’s One Shot on Canon not AI Single
Fantastic show guys, when are you coming to Australia. You can stay at my house.
Scott, Matt, Larry, this is a great service you guys are doing. My camera club just gave us you web info the first week of October and I have been watching all the shows with a pen and pad in one hand and my Nikon D90 in the other hand. Between the tips, camera settings, and web sites and you easy to understand information, I’m Hocked. Keep it coming. I’m also gong to check out Kelbytraining. Again, Thanks Much.
Hey Guys, Excellent show. I watch every episode. Thanks for the tips and inspiration!
Great show guys.
I have a tip on how to see your battery status on a Canon 7D with a battery grip.
Press Menu – Go too the 3rd yellow icon – Select Battery Info. You can also see your batteries health and a shutter count.
LOVE my Battery Grip.
Greetings from Denmark.
Thanks guys. Great content again!
Another great show. I’m a bit confused on your autofocus segment though, My Canon 7D & T2I have The “one shot” mode for still subjects, “AI Servo” for moving subjects and “AI Focus” for automatically switching AF modes. But not an ” AI Single” Mode. Any way great show and that Moose book would look great on my coffee table!!!
Hey Guys,
Been catching up with old episodes (up to #14) and just wanted to say how much you’ve improved since those old shows. Keep up the good work.
Gizmo
Love the show – sounds boring to say that each time but it really is a good mix of interesting and useful ideas.
Don’t want to give Larry the spotlight too much but love the fishing short idea – have been wanting a photographer’s vest for a while but i know my wife will hate the look (white Canon lens is obvious enough by itself!); maybe the short will fit the bill for both sides!
love the show!!
Great show as always. I’ve got a Nikon D90 and it has an AF-A mode for Automatic AF mode selection. What do you guys think of it. I’ve found that it doesn’t always snap the picture even when I see the green dot in the viewfinder, so I keep my camera in AF-C mode.
Hello! This is JP. Thanks for another great show with great tips. I’m hoping to win this week
Thanks for all the inspiration.
Hello Guys,
This is JP. Thanks for another great show. Hoping to win one of those great books. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I’ve used a fishing vest instead of a photo vest
and find it works well….now I’ll have to try
one of those shirts
Is there any possiblity to purchase all the D-Town TV program in DVD format, in better resolution, which can be played on a standard DVD player?

Great as always
Dear Scott and Matt,
It’s always a pleasure to get your latest episode here in Rome.
I especially appreciate your studio photography slots. Light management was treated some time back but there are so many aspects to it.
Cheap shots is also quite frustrating – why? Because you guys in he USA can get everything! Here in Rome it’s usually premium prices for limited products. But the ideas are great and we just need some creativity to benefit.
I also wonder if you could feature some real life differences between shooting with a D700 and a 5D MK II. They compliment each other in some respects but also cause problems of efficiency as their ergonomics differ so much. Focus management on a busy shoot is a real difference between these bodies.
Keep up the good work, it’s all appreciated.
Kind regards,
Garrick Maguire
Rome, Italy
Love how Cliff feel his shots!
Love the show!!!

Hey, was wondering if it’s possible to download these. I noticed Photoshop User TV is able to be downloaded, but I’d love to be able to do that here too.
Not sure if you’ve covered it yet,but could you, PLEASE, touch the subject of continuous vs. strobe studio lights for photographers trying to start a studio? Advantages and disadvantages from both sides, what least power (Watts) these should have to be useful at all, your recommendations… THANKS!!!
Great Nikon tips. Thank you
Cliff sounds so sincere when he’s talking. Maybe it’s time to sign up as a member of Kelbytraining.com just to hear more of what he has to say…
Thanks for all the great tips and since I am 100% self taught they do really help.
How about another focus tip on the various in-camera methods of focus, ie, dynamic, etc?
Enjoy your show.

Great comments on the focusing. You might also mention that you can set the AF-C priority to Release, release + focus, or Focus pretty important. I assume it’s on Canon as well.
Excellent increased enthusiasm level!
Another great program. Thank you!!!
This is a great…..free show and I am sure a lot of us hope it stays both ways. Keep up the great job!
Great Show, Cliff’s Wedding photography segment was particularlly inspirational. Also Matt’s focus setting tip. I lost most of a Christmas picture shoot because of it. By the time I figured it out , the kids were tired and cranky. How embarassing!
Been watching your promo which uses a bison for seemingly years. Just noticed the large shovel at the front of the set! Somebody is really funny!!!

Great Show guys!
Hey, what are the best portrait positions to help get people to pose in when they are all different sizes?
People are different sizes and to help get the best shot for that type of individual, Can you give us some posing tips for people portraits of those which are slim or larger?
Thx for sharing of all your knowledge
.
I have a tip regarding focusing:
In liveview you can zoom in realy close, using the zoombutton on your camera, to nail the focus. Very handy when shooting macro.
Great show. I can think of someone Who definitely needs that book!

Hi Guys,
I just watched my first D-Town show. How Great it is! I must put this on my weekly schedule so that I won’t miss an episode.
Thanks, Gil Riley
Great show! Cliff Mautner’s piece was inspiring.
A question about your givaways: How long after each episode do we have before you pick the ‘winners’? Does the contest ‘close’ one week after the episode airs?
Also, I haven’t heard or seen who received the last few give aways, is this made known somewhere or not? For a few episodes in the past, you announced the winners on the show, but you don’t do that anymore… needless to say, I don’t read every comment, unlike you guys
, so I’m not sure if it’s posted here.
great show keep it up

Great tips again. Liked the reminder of focus. I forget this too much.
Great show, loved Tyson’s aerial stuff!!
Good stuff. I understood the basics of AF-S and AF-C, but never realized that accidental shift to AF-C was why my auto focus beep occasionally disappeared! Thanks for clearing that up.

Another awesome show guys! I actually used your idea for the V-Flats in a studio class I teach. Thanks for all that you guys do.
good show
nice show, again. how about getting chase jarvis on the show(again, i think)?
The Wedding photos were wonderful
On my Canon 5D MKII the focus modes are:
ONE SHOT
AI FOCUS
AI SERVO
ONE SHOT is for when you know you only want to focus once – think portraits.
AI Focus – for when the subject MAY move, but most likely will stay in a position long enough to take the shot. I don’t think it is as active as AI Servo.
AI Servo – for continuous focus / focus tracking.
Hi There I really like the show, finlay find time to write a comment.
Moose Peterson rocks

This was my first time watching the show. I recently got a Nikon D300S and am still learning the focusing system, so I particularly appreciated that part of the episode. Thanks.

The best weekly show anywhere!
Greetings all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Keep it up, I always like how you introduce photographers every week
You guys are awesome. Thanks.
If you don’t get goosebumps shooting whatever you’re shooting, then either shoot something else until you do, or keep shooting until you do. Those goosebumps tell you you’re doing it right.
Hey, a suggestion. The Video start up time is not that good, specially when there are a lot of comments, because the browser loads all the Gravatars at first, and then load the video. Using Javascript, you can load Gravatars only when the user scroll down the page and is over them, and it would speed up the Video start up time as well.
Good show! Wish I could get a studio going but I don’t know where to start, I am so confused on what I need to get or how to use the lightings and all. Maybe you guys can do a episode or a few on what lighting to get and what you need for a studio. Thanks!
Great show, greetings from Finland
Cliff Mautner is awesome!!!!

Hi guys, great job, I want that book. Thanks.
Great Show .. but dont’ forget the Nikon Guys with smaller Cameras ..

Enjoy your shows as I always learn something new. I have a question regarding focusing that you covered in your last show. If you have changed your camera settings to back focus rather than with the shuuter release and you have it on continuous focusing, do you have to keep the back button pressed as you continue to shoot ? Thanks for your response.

Hey Guys. Happy Halloween from Denmark. Been carving pumpkins with Americans all night, and forgot my Cam.. DOH! No better way to use a sunday morning after pumpkin slaughter, than to watch some Dtown episodes.
Hey guys! Love the show so far. Catching up with back episodes and loving each one. I’m a wedding photographer but occasionally I get asked to shoot products and food. Can you guys feature some tips around this area? Thanks!
Another great show guys.
Hi guys…Thanks for the great tips on your show.
Never missed a D-Town show! so great!!!
Thanks!
Hi.
Have a Q about continuous focus + shooting.
If the subject is moving very quickly (in the case I had – a Formula 1 racing car!) will the continuous focusing be able to keep up if you are also doing continuous shooting?
I didn’t think it could on my D200 – if I started shooting early the end pictures would be less in focus than if I started shooting late.
Maybe dependant on camera ?
I want THE book!
Great show as always guys….
thanks..
Hope I win
Hi
Just wanted to tell you I LOVE D-Town TV! As a beginning photographer and avid photoshop user my husband says I love Scott Kelby more than him
