    QUESTION:

I use my Nikkor 50mm 1.8f for normal portrait photos all the time (Nikon D90, cropped DX sensor) where my subjects is a roughly 5-7 feet away. Effectively at 75mm.

Let’s say I have taken a photo of my subject. However, If I now take a single step backward or forward and re-focus on my subject. What change in focal length does that single change in composition result in, compared to the first photo? A single step forward with my normal zoom is like a zooming in with a zoom lens – but by how much?

  31. Johan Ericsson says:

hallo guys, most often you rock but sometimes your wrong. If you shoot in manual mode, exposure compensation does not work. But if you have auto ISO selected, exposure compensation will CHANGE the ISO. At least on a Nikon D700 and D3

    otherwise – have fun

  32. Steve Schuenke says:

Good show. Would like to see some hands-on previews when the D7000 comes out.

  33. Nick A says:

  34. AR Cherian says:

Great show as always. The CPL is one of the best purchases I ever made. Also, I try to shoot manual sometimes but when I’m on vacation I find that shooting each shot in manual is too time-consuming and cumbersome.

  35. Ghassan Daghestani says:

  36. Peter Jensen says:

  37. Edwin Gustafson says:

No more little pieces of crumpled lens tissue to get rid of.
