heeeeeeeeeey
Thank You GUYS !!
..
..
More Tips About Studio please
Please more tips on stuff that is buried deep in the menus, that was great !
You guys have to stop wearing black shirts and holding up black gear in front of you. I couldn’t see the bracket that Larry held up in front of his shirt. Otherwise, another great show!
Great show as always guys.
Any chance of some tethering tips? Do you guys prefer having the computer on the same tripod as the camera or on a separate stand/desk? I would be worried about yanking it over accidentaly!
I LOVE LARRY BECKER
Thx guys for these great shows and I wouldn’t mind a signed copy of any of the items you give away!
another great show and yes Scott you cna sign the book if i win.
hello!
I have been watching you for over a year now and like most I find something in each show educational and inspirational. Keep up the great work
Hey guys – I have a question about data (photos) backup. As I have upgraded computers and external hard drives over the years I have continued making new copies of my backed up data files (RAW, jpg, psd, tiff). If I eventually make enough copies of copies will the quality degrade?
Would love your feedback. Thanks.
more cheap tips
another great show
Am I really the first?
Nik, Nik, Nik!!! – Pick me!
Love the AWB adjustment tip.
Действительно полезный выпуск.
really useful
Great show!
Hey guys thanks for the great show.
I shoot with D90, and one of the next lens’ I wanna get is a lens baby, just for some artistic shots. But I have a few friends that have been shooting for a while that are trying to talk me into a Bellows system for Nikon instead. What’s your opinion?
Great show guys, How something on Macro photography any tips?
Another awesome show! All those comments are true, you guys really do rock!
Great series. You talk a lot about iStock (because they are one of your sponsors). It seems extremely hard to get photos submitted to them. I talk with a lot of photographers and most just give up trying. Most of these are very good photographers too. Can you give some tips for getting stock photos accepted (not just iStock but stock in general)?
Hi Guys,
I photographed my first wedding when I was 14 ½. I am now 62 going on 63. I was the High school photographer and went on the US Army as a photographer a year in Viet Nam and I served my last year and a half at SHAPE Headquarters in Belgium. When I got out of the Army I decided that I enjoyed photography more as a hobby then as a professional. I thought I know a lot about photography. Your show has given me more specific knowledge than any other training or reading of photographic magazines that I have ever experienced. I have a Nikon D300 and I have used many of your tips to improve and enjoy my photography more.
I would like to see more shows with studio lighting and maybe someone to show some techniques to photograph Kids now that I have grandchildren.
Keep up the good work it’s like opening a Christmas present each week.
Thank you
Rick Kuhn
A Really Great show! I wish that I new about that mirror lockup feature last week…:-D
Great Show! I wish I had known about that mirror lockup feature…last week. I only thought that you could do it with the switch on the top.
Great show. Scott you cna sign the book if i win.
Nice show guys
Ahhhhhh, the auto power off custom function, doh!! Thanks for that tip, I forgot about that being an option
Hi guys, could you cover sports/action photography (what AF point should I use, metering, …)?
Great show guys! I am learning a lot.
Can you do some more 3rd party lens reviews? Looking for best prosumer glass.
Great show, great tips, especially the white balance and mirror up tips. Keep the shows coming!
Hello Guys,
Keep of the great show. Loved this episode. The white balance tip was GREAT always wondered what as that for!!!!
Regards,
Axel
Great show. Loved the tip on the exposure delay mode.
Felt like withdrawal when I didn’t see the new episode on Friday. Glad to see you back today. Always enjoy the program. Great info. Keep it coming.
Another Great Show.
Yet another great show! Picked up another bunch of smart tips. Sweet to see that You guys started (?) to use consumercameras when showing smart features.
Ola Senors!
Another great show, a litte more chaos than usual but I like it.
I would like to know more about camera and monitor calibration. How to get the most accurate colors from your camera when you send your images to print.
Thanks a lot!
Hey, you guys rock. I wish I could have made the photowalk with Matt, but it filled up too fast.
I have been learning alot with you guys.
Keep up doing your stuff
Great tips! I really appreciated the customization of the AWB.
Talking about flashes…more precisely about the fill-in-flash technique; What happen if the shutter speed is faster than the X-sync speed? Will the flash fire anyway? To avoid the black stripe on the bottom would be helpful to use the second curtain sync?
Thanks for your weekly tips and a moment of happiness!
Mattia
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for your tip on the White Balance tweek!! Will make my life easier!
Also, Larry Becker has pretty nice trick for less fortunate photographer!
Your show rocks!
Larry,
Could you drill and tap the bar that holes the two speedlites with a 1/4 x 20 tape. This should replace one of the holder saving $10.
Thank you for a great show.
Unfortunately not with the aluminum I have on hand. It’s too soft to hold the threads. If you use steel I suppose you could, but then the problem is that you’d need to spend some money on a set of threaded taps (I don’t have in my shop). I just went for the path of least resistance.
Thanks for another great show.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for your tip about white lighting tweek! It will make my life much easier.
Also, Larry Becker tips are pretty usefull for less fornature photographer!
Your show continue to rock!
Cover cheap trigger devices for person on a budget.
Just want to thank you for your great DTOWN shows, I really enjoy them.
Thanks for a great show. I would like to see more aperture 3 tutorials in the future.
Another excellent episode!
How about some tips on shooting a medium sized group (10-15 people). Setup, lighting, background, dealing with curmudgeons, etc.
Thanks
This show really does ROCK! I learned so much from many of your episodes. This episode with David Ziser was great and loved the umbrella tip. I would like to see more tips on using the Nikon flash. Although, I’m currently reading Joe McNally’s book, and honestly can’t put it down! I like the mirror lock up tip and will check my D200 to see if I can use it. The white balance tip was great, but with D200 I guess I’d have to play with the -1, and +1 for warmer and cooler effects. By the way, I am on my way out to buy Scott Kelby’s Photo Recipe Live book. You guys are really AWESOME! Thanks for doing this show for us!
I’m from Dubai, and I like your show very much, i learned lots from it as well as Scott Kelby books. keep it up the good team works.
I need an advise, I’ planning to do a small home studio, will you advise me to setup it up using my speedlite flashes with softbox or use a strobe flashes.
Beas & Regards
Thanks a lot for the tips!
Hello there!

I’ve really appreciated the tip about the customization of AWB.
Talking about flashes…. more precisely about the fill-in-flash technique, what happen if the shutter speed is faster than the X-sync speed of my camera? Will the flash fire anyway? To avoid the black stripe at the bottom of the image would be helpful to use the second curtain sync.?
Thank you for your weekly tips and for a moment of happiness.
Mattia
Becker is simply awesome!
Great show and tips guys. Larry Becker might also want to consider the Morris Umbrella Tilt Head (MTH-203) from B&H Photo as a 2 light holder. It’s inexpensive, versatile, sturdy and has the tilt head built in. But I would replace the cold shoes with something better. Thanks.
Great show guys. Love the WB tuning tip. Also the tip on the remote flash with the unbrella setup was welcome as I was always puting it in close in instead of far confusing the umbrella setup with the light closer = softer light guideline.
As always, you guys rock! Looking forwared to the photo walk on Saturday.
You guys rock! Could you do some more tips for HDR?
Thx1
Great show. I’ll have the signed book.
Hey great show guys. If you get time how about some product photing tips. Take care
Another Great show as always Thanks Guys!! so prize time… here we go “I have written to you once before but never got through your front door, I hope you will publish this awful rubbish so readers can laugh themselves sore…or not” I have a very cool tip…Always look both ways when crossing the street. Well it was worth a try!!
thanks fellas… love this stuff!!
I learned alot of things with you guys, keep up doing your stuff
You guys rock.
Always informative… great show! Keep it up!
Great Show.
Love the show, I watched every. I’m looking forward to photowalk this weekend in New Haven, CT.
Another great show with great tips. Thanks
You guys rock!!! Here’s a question for you. When shooting outdoor portraits (and using my SB-900 & SB-600 off camera) I’ll often need to use high-speed sync because I’m using fast shutter speeds. Is there any disadvantage to just leaving the high-speed sync setting on all the time, or do I need to keep changing it as my shutter speeds go back and forth across the 1/250 threshold? I currently use a D300. Thanks.
I have learned so much with you guys, thank you.
You rock!
hi
Another Great Show.
Thanks
Problem Posting..
well another great show
Thanks
Fantastic show, once again! Thanks guys!
I think Larry Becker forgot to mention that with two flashes you might get twice the battery life but you have twice the number of batteries. So no gain there.
Hey Guys! Great Cheap Shots segment. I would like to hear more about locations and posing subjects to get the most flattering image. Thanks
MATT, MATT, MATT
Our camera club recently got into a debate on this subject with everyone having an opinion, all different.
Please discuss memory cards… What to look for when purchasing? Is it better to format iin camera or on computer? Better to delete or format? Better to download from camera or card reader? does removing/inserting memory cards play havoc on pins in camera? what signs signal potential failure with current card? other considerations?
Hey guys thanks for another great shows!
great tips again guys! thanks
Keep up the excellent videos.
Got any tips on shooting low light concert footage with a cheaper zoom lens, I am still saving up some cash for a faster piece of glass? Boosting ISO just seems to add too much noise. thanks again.
Thanks for the show!
Can’t wait for the photowalk to start.
Hope we the weather is gonna be better than last year when it poured rain. We still had fun though.
Love the mirror lock-up tip.
Thank you!
Love the show. Is there a big difference between shooting off camera in slave mode versus command mode? Which is better?
Try this again, Great show, as usual, I really loved the mirror up technique. 20 thumbs up.
Great show, loved the mirror lock up tip.
Great show guys learning tons of stuff. Keep it up!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the show, as always. Keep up the great work!
Thanks guys for this great show .
Great show guys!!!
Great show!
Outstanding! Again! I’m starting to learn more about post processing effects and would LOVE to win the Nik software. Not to kick the hornets nest, but any chance we could see anything for those of us just getting started with HDR?
Hello from Zagreb, Croatia. Great show.
Great show. Useful tips.
Great show..
Great show thanks!
Thanks for the tips guys, Scott if I win, you can sign the book!
How do you guys lock youe exposure? Shutter button or the AE-L button?
Cheers
C.
Another super show. Thanks guys
Great Tips. Hey guys. I wish you would do a tip on how to use the 51 point focus on Nikon D-700.
Also, I just got my full version of CS5 and I am using your other web tutorials to learn the program.
Thanks for your help!!
Great show.
great show again, love the t-shirt matt:)
This one took a little to publish but the waiting was worth it.! By the way… the copy has to be signed period!
Super cool landscape tip, thanks for sharing
Another great show guys!
I’m sure many are glad that you feature both Nikon and Camera “tips.” I was reminded, while watching this latest episode of D-Town, that Nikon users prefer their knobs on the outside and Canon users prefer menus. I shoot both..thanks guys!! White Balance tip rules!
This show is amazing.
I would love to see more studio lighting tips as to, like Scott said, get it right in the camera too. Also, how about something regarding the benefit (if any) of using a color checker chart! Thanks.
Lisa
Another Great Show, more Moose
The show is amazing.
I would love to see more tips on studio lighting so I can, as Scott said, get the shot right in the camera. And, the significance (if any) of using a Color Checker Chart.
Thanks,
Lisa
Another great show guys. Larry’s tip this week was a serious winner! Thanks.
Another great show! I especially appreciated Larry’s Cheap Shots.
Hi Guys, your show rocks
Great show, can we see more on Lightroom 3 please,
Great show. I find it really engaging when you show images to help describe your tips. For example, it was great when Scott showed the images to drive home the point about adjusting the white balance. I don’t know if it’s possible to show vibration in an image when not using the mirror lock up, but if you could, that would have been pretty informative.
Thanks again guys!!!
So glad you featured tips for both Nikon and Canon. I shoot both. D-town always reminds me that Nikon users prefer the knobs on the outside and Canon users prefer menus. Loved the white balance tip..you rule!!
Thanks for another informative show.
Hi guys!
Hy Guys !
I was wondering if you can do some tips on Portrait Photography using speedlite`s
Thanks and good job
hello
my name is ben kelmer and im a photojournalist working in israel, check out my site.

ben
Great WB tip. Thanks again guys.
Just shot over 1800 photos at the Dayton Air Show. Although I captured some amazing images, I could use even more tips on shooting planes.
Thanks again for all the great information.
Great show. Would love to see tips on Canon G11 or Nikon D5000 operation.
I think if Larry keeps coming up with these great ideas he is going to put Manfrotto out of business.Another great show.
Another great episode. Suggestion, have David Ziser wife on sometime. I am sure she has insight that no one else does.
Great show guys. More cowbell.
Thank you for a great show…
Thanks for another great and informative show. Can you discuss the pros and cons of using auto ISO?
Nice job again, guys!
im a amature photographer. and i enjoy your weekly video tips.
Nice show guys. Could you give some tips on beech photography, the faces come out dark as sand being a giant reflector.
Great show! Love the Cheap Shots section
The last time I posted a comment I got the message “you are posting comments too quickly. slow down”
What does than mean?
Great show!
Hey guys! Love your show! Been watching since the second episode. I recently have started doing studio work and have learned about it from all different websites and blogs. Although you have touched on a few studio setups maybe a full episode you can talk about the studio type light modifiers, like beauty dishes, softboxes, stripboxes, octaboxes and softboxes. Mainly what each is good for and some example setups like 3 light, rembrandt, etc.
Thanks again guys!
Hey! You guys rock!
Nice tips. I especially like any tips to do with speedlight lighting, and Lightroom.
I watch every week!
Thanks!
Thanks from Holland, I learnt a lot of your program D town TV.
There for THANKS guys
Ooh first post!! (hopefully) Awesome show yet again. I’m actually doing a project in my photo class where you imitate the style of a Photographer and I chose Scott Kelby since everything I know about studio lighting I learned from him! Also could you guys talk a bit about camera straps, I know you have done it in the past but I think there have been never ones out since. Thanks.
Woohoo!
Good tip on the White Balance, Thanks
Great Show! How about discussing determining
the best f-stop for “tack sharp” photos.
Thanks,
Joe
looking at buying a quantum flash now. love the show.
Labai patinka jūsų laidos, kiekvieną karta sužinau ką nors naujo ir įdomaus.
Great show guys Larry is taking over with all those great cheap shots episodes.
Scott you had a segment about portrait with a softbox you learned at Photoshop world, I have been searching for weeks trying to find that episode can you let me know which episode it featured on??
Thanks
Great show! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your shows.. You both have helped me step up my photography skills. I am now shooting a car for a street rod magazine. I couldn’t do it without you guys. Thanks.
For the Nikon Speed-lights to recieve thier iTTL wireless signals, the two screws that mount the two speed-light brackets need to be wingnuts & lock washers on them so that the Speed-light bracket can be turned paralell with each other so as to be aimed towards the Comander. As shown, one of the sensors would be blocked by the other Nikon Speed-light.
I will have to remember that Auto White Balance tip.
Thanks.
Great show as always
I love cheap shots! Great show as usual.
Keep up the great work
Thanks for the great tips week after week….YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your show is more than I could ever ask for, except I wish it was longer. Maybe a special “50th” episode. Thanks and you guys are the man or men or dudes, anyway thanks!
Hi guys,
Thanks for a great ep and FYI:
I tried using the autowhite balance trick on an older Nikon (D80) and that fancy grid is not there.
Michael
the Netherlands
Did Scott get that shirt in Spain?
Another Great Show Guys.
Bill Fortney rocks. If you ever get a chance to go to a workshop with him and Scott together, you won’t soon forget the experience.
On the mirror lock-up tip, does that work for both single shots, and multiple shots if for instance your shooting bracketed for HDR?
Great to see you guys back, love all the speedlight tips.
Another great show! Thanks for the tip on exposure delay mode. Can’t wait to try it out. Can you provide more examples of off lighting camera technique with speedlights?
larry rules
Are the competitions only open to US residents?. Live in the UK and love the show but the show seems aimed at American photographers.
Other than that, no complaints.
Larry Beckers speedlite bracket was a great idea !
Is it your server or my Apple airport that make the viewing interrupted almost continous this evening.
Normally the show stop to load 2-3 times during the whole show
Thanks for another nice show!
You guys rock I have seen all episodes od dtown and I can tell you that Iam a kelby/kloskowski junkie by now . I want to see more of lightmeters and for example blend ambient and flash and also a tip to get a nice sunset and flash the subject in manually mode of the camera. If you do this I will not stalk you for the rest of your days.. : P
PS Love your Evil black clothes ; )
Good show.
Thanks
you guys rock
I love the show! Can’t get enough. Keep up the good work.
Victor
Thanks for the tip on fine tuning Auto WB. Could you do some “Do and Don’t” tips on natural light portraiture, (ie where you want highlights to fall and the types of shadows to avoid)?
PS. You guys rock and I want my book signed : )
Hey Guys, Just wanted to say, you are Awesome!!!
Odd Question, Long Exposure HDR? For example 1 min to 5 Min Night Time Landscape Photography. have tried it using Photomatix Pro and its just not there yet, Have you guys done any? or is there just too much moving for it to work?
Also Thank you, To The Entire NAPP Team for all the amazing training and tips.
-Travis
Another great show guys! Not sure if you have covered this in a previous show but what about a quick review of light stands and the attachments used to secure light shaping tools to the stands.
Nice job on the auto white balance keep up the good work may be more on posting.
Thank’s
Frank
Excellent Show as Usual!
What is a “cheap shots” way to clean the sensor of my Canon 5D?
Thanks for the white balance tip I always seem to have trouble with this function the most.
Great show guys! How about a tripod segment?
You guys rock! Would love to win the Complete Collection. Any more tips on traveling? Let’s say you’re on vacation and you are visiting a castle. How do you approach the site if you’ve never been there? Do you wander around looking for something interesting, or is there a pre-conceived plan? Thanks for a great show!
You guys ROCK!!!
Thanks for all the great info.
Great Show
Great Video, Guys!!!
Great show!
You guys ROCK!!!
Hey guys, love the show (Especially Larry Beckers CheapShots .. yeah yeah you’re probably tired of hearing that by now). I think you could reduce the price a little more if you used a 1/4″-20 (or 3/8″)nut instead of the cold-shoe mount to hold the aluminum plate. Just a thought!
Can’t wait to see the next episode
enjoyed the Ask Dave episode that was posted under the DTOWN section of Itunes Podcast and the real episode on the website.
Another show with Great tips
Thank You

Hoping for some new plugins!! Great show as always guys….Thanks!!
Informative show as usual. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and allowing many other professionals the opportunity to share their knowledge. I learn something from each show.

Great episode guys! How about some wildlife tips.
Great episode guys. I see you are “changing ” the set again….hahaha.
Enjoyed the show, guys!
1st comment of the week? What an honor. As much as I would love to win a prize, I would like to see a demo of some of these Nik Software products you give away to see why I need these cool tools. What do they do that Lightroom doesn’t?
Also, a signed copy of the new LR3 book would be awesome I am sure.
very good show
Thanks for showing the mirror lock up tip!
Loved this, Thanks!
Great tips! The quto white balance tip has come in handy! Thanks!
Another great show Guys! Thanks for the great tips, advice, inspiration!
Never knew about Nikon’s M-up menu. Another tip for the kit. Thanks!
Loved the tip on tweaking white balance. Saw a mention of the same thing on Moose’s blog last week and used it over the weekend with great success! Thanks. Of note, you can also quickly adjust Amber/Blue while shooting by pressing the WB button and turning the front dial on D300/700/3 Nikons as well. Great for quick adjustments on the fly! Thanks again for a great show!
Hi guys been watching your show from episode 1 great tips and show. I didnt know about mirror lockup from the camera menu and adjusting auto white balance many thanks. Keep the shows coming

I think D-Town Tv its the best photography show ,I love it.
Great now we don’t have to scroll to the bottom to make a comment. Now that’s a improvement on a show that is number 1 in my book. Just when I thought you guys couldn’t get any better..
Wow !! Nik’s Complete Collection? you guys are the greatest !
Ok… enough sucking up… I’ve asked before, but I’m really curious, so I’m going to ask again…. can you explain why hyperfocus works ?

Great show! What I like about d-town is you show the tips on both canon and nikon
Hello – really enjoy your Dtown show and watch each it every week. Your tips and presentations are great – keep up the great work.
For a topic suggestion I was wondering whether you could do a segment on low light / indoor sports photoshots (i.e volleyball, basketball in a not so well lit gym) using auto ISO with a minumum shutter speed and other hints to get stopped action pictures in these conditions.
Thanks again.
Dave
Hello Guys,
Great show, looking forward to the photo walk on Saturday!
Great episode.
Thanks, guys!
Thanks again guys another great show, loving the tips and learning more about my camera each show!

Great episode, would love more information on setting and adjusting white balance in camera, when out in the wild.
Keep up the great work, looking forward to the Photowalk this Saturday.
I just watched this week’s episode after spending the weekend in NYC. I wish I had been able to stay in the city another day to catch Scott.
While its not a big city I wish more guy’s like Scott and Joe would host workshops in Rochester, NY.
As we suffer through the super hot days here in the midwest and the high humidity, I’m reminded to use my desiccants in my camera bag but it still doesn’t help when you go from inside to outside and your camera fogs up immediately and stays that way for 10 minutes. Any tips (besides planning ahead better)?
One of your finer shows. Great tips…molto useful!! Grazie!!!
I would like to win the Nik software. Oh yeah, and Scott’s book also.
Great show guys! Keep up the good work, Larry!
Thanks for another great show and the tip on mirror lock-up. I believe I heard thats also good for shooting macro?

Looking forward to Saturday’s photowalk. This will be my third worldwide event.
Thanks Steve
Hey guys – yet another great show. Loved the cheap shot advice – fantastic as usual. Loved the speedlights tips too… do you see where I am going – would it be OK if you make an episode on how to use speedlights in different situations you have found yourself but had to be creative to avoid certain problem.
Thank you very much for the help and see you next time.
Vesko
Love the show as always.
Great job guys, really learn a lot from your show.
Hi Guys,
Another great show. Great white balance tip.
Anything on Capture NX2?
Thanks,
John.
Used to enjoy these episodes but they’ve become an ad for your events and your sponsors. Too much advertising, not enough real content … sad.
Love your show, but guys lose the black shirts. larry becker today had a black shirt, a black flash, a black hot shoe adapter and a black flash/umbrella holder. Noway to see what he was doing.

Great show fellas. Keep up the great work. Is there a way to shoot all frames of AEB group with only pressing the shutter button once?
So that there is less camera movement.
Good Stuff. You guys are always entertaining and have great tips.
Welcome back Scott! Great tip on “custom” AWB…. never thought of using the color shift for AWB… gotta check it out. Thanks!
I love watching you guys change shirts and change back again. Black shirts rock!
Love the show guys. I would love to see more in depth white balance tutorials
Keep up the great content/show/blog . Looking forward to the photowalk this Saturday!
Guys, another enjoyable show – would love to win a prize
Wow, perfect timing on Larry’s tip this week. I’ve been considering doing exactly that!
I think you guys need to take Photoshop World around the planet. I feel like I’m missing out on a heap here down under.
Thanks for all the good tips, I havent miss an episode since the beginning, and lots of them twice, every tips helped me a lot as an amateur photographer.
Regards,
Eric,
Québec, Canada
Great show once again guys! Love both of the speedlites tips from both guests!
Thanks guys, my friends and family appreciate the tips and instruction you give as much as i do (they get way better prints now).
Cheers,
mick ryan
Another great cheap shot. Still hoping for tips on insurance for camera gear.
Great show guys!
Good tip about adjusting the auto white balance.
I would like to see a show about changing the custom settings in the Optimize image menu. Would like to know about setting the color mode in the settings also.
Thanks!
I would love to have my copy of the book signed
Larry Becker comes up with so many great budget friendly ideas……give the man a raise……
Great online instructional episodes !!!
Keep up the great work !!!!
Great lighting and landscape tips. Thanks
).
As always thanks for the show guys, never missed it
Hi Scott and Matt,
What a brilliant show as always. I have watched your show from day one and I hang out to see the next week’s episode from Down Under (Australia).
Please can you talk camera setup for shooting in bright (daylight) and possibly dull (overcast) snow and how to best setup the white balance – should one use Auto WB or something like the ExpoDisc or X-Rite ColorChecker Passport. Does one use Spot metering with the -EV of 1 Stop? I am still confused and would really appreciate some tips. Thank you.
Once again I look forward to all your coming shows as do all my mates that I have told about and now watch your weekly DTownTV show.
You really guys rocks!!! Another great episode.
Great show as always. Still liking this “season’s” format. Keep ‘em coming
I always appreciate the show.
I’ve been thinking of using lightroom. Could you show a simple “how to” from click to saving the image on an external hard drive. I find that two minutes of video is worth about two chapters in a book!
Re: Nikon Mirror Lockup & Exposure Delay Mode
Using this method, you must also remember to turn off the vbration control for your camera.
LOVE the show! Always learning something new.
love it all!!
Great tip on tweaking the auto white balance!
Yay..first one!
Another great episode!! I just received a couple photos from Mpix that were 16″x24″ and they were perfect!! They do outstanding work!! I guess I don’t need to tell you to keep plugging them….
Can’t wait till the next episode!!
I’m a newbie to photography, so all your advise and hints are fantastic … love your show , I watch every week …. thanks heaps!
G’day mate from Melbourne Australia,
You guys are just fantastic, love watching your shows during my boring day job:)
Was wondering if you could explain how to do self portraits and how to get that super sharp focus on oneself. Remote shutter? Wireless Shutter? What’s involved?
Thanks again guys keep it up! Will make sure to spread the good word down under.
Cheers
Mars
great work folk!
Great show, as always!
I shoot some landscape images and would love to know about working with a Polarizing Filter, AE Lock and/or combining a Polarizing Filter with a Neutral Density Filter.
Thanks,
Lisa
hey howya doin.. i like me some freebies..
Good show–I’de love to get that Nik software for my Lightroom.
Love your show! Do you plan to discuss the new “HDR Expose” software?
You guys are great, my photography has improved so much. Thanks!
Great show as usual.
Janet
I am sure you guys have done it before but a refresher course would be great.. How to hand hold and be steady and get sharp shots.. Thanks
Loved the show. Could you guys do a segment on equipment cleaning and simple maintenance?
I want to take my chances and win the Nik!!!
Anyway, a suggestion for your future shows is to include expert tips for niche photography styles that are outside the usual, such as street photography, photojournalism, fine art, etc.
Good show! Look forward to it every week!
Hey guys, another great show! I wish you could do some of the photoshop world classes online and avialable for people that live for example in Europe and don’t have a chance to be in Las Vegas with you
All the best!
Michael
Great show guys!
Awesome white balance tip!
Great show guys.
Hey guys, I love your show, it is like a big bowl of fresh air !
Carry on and don’t stop!
Chabane from the UK.
Thanks ‘Guys” for the GREAT auto white balance tip! I’ll definitely be using that. Oh, got a question… do the Elinchron “Skyports” use the same means of communicating as do the Nikon SB-900s? (radio frequency vs line of sight?) Keep up the good work!
Hi every one,
nice show and I hope to see more from you
and please pick me this time
thanks
Hi Kelby team,
Thanks for the book and CEP3.0 software! I got them and had a look through the book. It’s amazing. Lots of things for me to learn still.
Regards,
Chuan En
Hey! Good show.
Thanks again for your weekly show.
Another great Show. Can you guys talk about the different options to remotely trigger Flash and Camera (like Pocket Wizards)
I could really use some sweet software to edit all of my photos. I am finishing up 6 months in Baghdad (3 of which were with my new D90). It will be time to do some photo editing after spending quality time with my wife and twins. Thanks to Scott, Matt and everyone elsy for entertaining me while I was here. You guys really do rock.!
Nice show again!
Would you help me out please? I’m planning a lens upgrade, but can’t decide. Either I upgrade my Canon kit lens (18-55mm non-IS) to a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, or my tele lens (Canon EF 55-200mm) to the Canon EF 70-200 f/4 L (non is). Thoughts?
Dear Matt,
Thanks for your tip on ‘exposure delay’. I have a Nikon D300 and have trawled the manual many times but could only find ‘mirror lock up for cleaning’. This is the function I’ve been needing for those tripod-mounted tack-sharp shots. Simple when you know how!
Many thanks to you, Scott and the Team for all the great videos, blogs and books you produce, these have all been such a great help in improving my photography and confidence in shooting.
Kind regards and best wishes, Paul.
Another great episode!! Thanks again for creating this show!
I really hope I can get my hands on the Nik collection.
Check out a local award winning photographer friend of mine.
http://www.revivalartsstudio.com/
Can you guys do one show about macro photography?
Thanks for such a great resource!! Keep up the amazing work.
Check out a local award winning photog that I think deserves recognition.
http://www.revivalartsstudio.com/
Awesome show once again! And Bill F rocks. He’s one of the finest men I have ever met!
Great tips this week, especially the white balance!
Just waiting for my flash umbrella to arrive, so really useful flash tips!
Hey guys,
my question again in a slight different phrasing:
How to shoot mooving objects the best way?
Thank you for your great show!
heyyy guys lol you wrote of david ziisers blog “blgo”
Greeting from Ukraine!
#47 Great Show!
I use Aperture with all of NIK’s plugins, have you done a review of Aperture yet?? I guess I made my workflow a little more complicated by using NX2 and Aperture but for some images it seems to work.
Started using Photomatrix … ok I am spending to much time on the Mac because like taking the photos, messing with them is addictive. Cuts into my World of Warcraft time. Good thing I am retired!
Hi,
it was very nice show. thanks a lot
please for this time only pick me
thanks
Icing on my week to tune in to you guys.
Great show! I would love to see more on how to get great portraits with two or more external flashes e.g. McNally-style!
Keep up the good work and let’s hope someone not of the US (like Sweden) will win the price this time
Great show!
I would love to see more on how to get great portrait shots with two or more external flashes – e.g. McNally-style.
Keep up the good work and let’s hope someone not from the US (like Sweden!) will win the price this time
Can you guys help me on a episode from another show that I watch to get a little deepear how to accomplish using outdoor flash for reference the show that I talking about is Digital Photography 1 0n 1 by Snapfactory @ Youtube and it’s episode 20

Hey. Another great show. Can you guys briefly explain LAB color? Thanks
Hello,
Nice show again, like every time.
This is my first run after a holiday, not what mail and email there is. But what is the new DTown TV episode.
Keep up the good work.
Friendly regards,
Perry
you guys are funny
Thx fo0r a great shoe guys!!!
Great show!
Show some tips how to get cool bokehs…
A very fine show this week. Great tips and techniques. I’ve seen every show you guys have ever produced. LOVE IT!
You rock guys, as always!
Great Show ..
Comments seem not to work properly
Great tip on the exposure delay! Scott, missed your usual Fender t-shirt this episode.
Love the show, how about some more tips about in camera settings/tweeks, off camera flash tips and subject posing/positioning do & dont’s.
Still waiting for you to bring photoshop world or your seminar tours to Australia. Be happy to show you some of the best photgraphic scenes in the world.
Good reminder on reason to shoot with mirror up.
Another great show, many thanks. I got Captured by the light based on your recommendation in an earlier show and I am so glad you made me buy it. I never shoot weddings but there is so much about lighting to learn from that book.
My suggestion for a coming topic is one of the tips from the book that was a real eye-opener for me (I’m sure Ziser would not mind the promotion); to underexpose the background slightly in order to lead the viewers attention to the motif that’s lit up by the flash. I have always done this lighting adjustment in post processing and it did not occur to me that I can get it right in camera this way (I’m a hobby photographer but I’m sure this goes for a lot of other people as well).
All the best, Anders (from Stockholm, Swden)
Great episode!
I have a tip for the web site: make it possible to search through the episode summaries. This way I can find that one Larry Becker tip faster!
Love that tip on auto white balance–one of those things I had forgotten, but that is so helpful! Would love to see more “on location” shooting–it is so helpful to watch your work process.
Hi guys,
It’s great to see your shows are still maintaining such a high standard……..keep them coming!!!
I have got a D300 + the 18-200 + the 35mm 1.8 + SP900
Suggestion for a tip:
You are at an indoor party, people just do not have patience to wait until you settle your camera, they will not pause for more than 5 seconds. You must be quick, immediate.
What are your settings?
My settings are: ISO 200 but auto up to ISO 1600, Manual mode S1/80sec, f6.3 or even f7.1 (when I am more open it happened that people not being in straight line are not all sharp), flash with 10mm diffuser.
Maybe the professionals cans help????? We get a lot of tips on how to set the camera when you have all the time you need. But, when you do not have the time and have to shoot one photo after the other???
Many thanks in advance
another great show. Scott you can sign the book when i win
Another great show, keep up the good work. I have a suggestion for a future show. How about showing us how you carry all your gear for different kinds of shoots. From just walking the street to small location shoot.
Great show as always. Appreciate the tip about locking up the mirror.
Cool show.
I have a Canon 400D & a Nikon D700 and would love to hear tips on these cameras of course but I would love to hear tips on other Canon & Nikon models as well.
My idea is ” Witch Camera For Me”.
Thanks guys for the effort you put into the show it is very much loved.
Regards.
Shaun.
Hi Guys
Great show as usual and i have a request.
Would it be possible to do a segment on APS-C vs full frame, sort of plus and minus of both sensors.
Enjoyed the show as always. Look forward to it every week!
What can I say…YOU GUYS ROCK ! Seriously, the information you provide is allowing me to finally follow my passion for photography as a full time career. I’d likely still be stuck in a job I hate, if not for your literally life changing information. A million thank you’s.
PS all I need now is a copy of NIK software collection
Hi,
Great tip on auto white balance and thanks for your show.
Michel
Thanks for this site and all the info you put on it. Especially the demos on how to set your camera. Not to mention the cheap shots! And your guests.
Another great show
I would like to see some demos of the Nik Software and what you use them for. Would be great to win some and the LR3 book!
Great show guys.

Hi – do you know of a UK/European stockist of Zumbrella ?
Also meant to mention this many times – the adverts before the main video start are LOUD too loud, painfully so on this episode compared to the main section. Can you turn them down/normalise them a bit ?
I have photography interest, I want to learn photography from basic so how can I do kindly give me your valuable advice so I can go ahead with photography. I am the big fan of both host Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski. I am watching there show Photoshop User TV since three years and I learn a lot from the tutorial. so I want them to guide me for photography.
Nice show this week. Can you talk about tripods, and what one should look for when buying.
Hey, maybe you have more tips and cool gadgets for travel photographers. I’m going on vacation soon, so I want my photographs to be better than pictures from previous trips.
As always, you guys rock!
Nice show
thanks for another great show guys. can you discuss custom white balance for nikon cameras? the zumbrella seems like a nifty tool.
thanks for another great show. can you discuss custom white balance? the zumbrella looks like a nifty tool.
I would like to see how to shoot a wedding with a hand held remote flash, or on a pole with an umbrella without an assistant.
Yet another great show. Keep those Cheap Shots coming.
Thanks for your enthusiasm each week! like the Nikon Mirror lock up & Exposure Delay tip.
Great show guys as usual. I’m really looking forward to the Photo Walk next weekend!
Excellent show guys! Keep up the great work.
dp
Another great show guys! Loved the two flash bracket. Ill definitely be making one!
hi,
great show!
how about doing some side by side tests of different gear (like flash transmitters) brands?
Great show!
Thanks
Love your show – I look forward to it each week!
Tom
Love this show! Every week I learn something new or a better way to do things. Thanks, Keep it up.
PS. You guys rock!
of course you ROCK!
would enjoy information on wireless speedlight transmitting devices.
Thanks guys, show must go on!
If I win a “Lightroom 3″ book, could you have Matt sign it also. I don;t want him to feel left out.
I love the show. The auto white balance adjustment is a pretty cool trick. I think I need to explore my menus more. I was wondering if you guys had considered Lensbaby as one of your topics. I have been to their website and it looks like they create some pretty interesting images but I would definitely like to know more about using them.
Great show as Always!
You guy’s are getting better! More fender t shirts and less canon would be good.
Thanks for the wonderful tips and tricks!
I would love to see you feature micro 4/3 cameras too in the future as I am using one right now after shifting from NIkon.
Love your show!
Wow, this time the prize really is a big one
. I really liked the tips from David this time, very usefull especially the one how to put the umbrella.
Btw.: You guys rock
Another great show. Thanks!
i like the mirror lockup tips…thanks guys.
Have ordered your Lightroom 3 Book and looking forward to getting it. Another great show
another great show guys!
I’d love to see more strobist tips and features!
Thanks guys…love that cheap shots!
I love the show. Would like to see a segment on how you keep all your gear organized at home so it is easy to find what you need before going out on a shoot.
Lightroom Live New York was great, Good Job Scott.
Thanks for the Show!!! I always get good ideas.
Great Show guys, I was wondering if guys could do a comparison on using an umbrella vs. a soft box on a flash? Thanks
Hi
Thanks for the show
Great show again guys….love those cheap shots
Great show as always,
If you want to send me a price for entering this text, i really want Scott´s new book
Long time since Moose was on the show, so take him into the studio.
Another great show guys! Cheap shots was great.
How about some tips on setting custom shooting menus.
Thanks
Love love your program and would plead with you to send me the LR3 book as my wife will kill me if I buy yet another photography book!
P.S. I’m walking on the 24th.
great show – thanks. I´m watching since the first episode.
you´r great
Great tips. I will be making some flash brackets, but mine will be a little bit larger to accomodate the Pocket Wizard Flexes.
Where’s a good place to buy the aluminum?
The audio mix was much better this time.
Suggestions for future segments:
- Recipes that didn’t make it in to your app.
- Before and after. Showing how simple compositional, framing, focal length choices etc, can help improve “everyday” photography.
- What does this do? A segment that gets viewers to go through Adorama’s site and find products they don’t understand…. which you can then explain and demonstrate. Adorama would probably love you for that.
That’s it for now. Thanks.
Ian.
one week one show is too short . you guys are the best!!!!
Awesome job, guys — like always. Love the show; never miss an episode. The only part I don’t like is the week of waiting between shows.
As for suggestions: I’d love to hear your thoughts on when (i.e., what situations) you use the various AF Area Modes (single-point, dynamic-area, automatic-area).
Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Love the show, Info on remote speedlight trigers
Great show guys!
Great tip on the Zumbrella!
Thanks guys. . . very informative. Is it possible to explain the metering system in The high end Nikons
Wonderful show guys! Keep up the great work!
Yet another great show, I’m learning new stuff every day which is a good thing.
Cool show as always. Keep em coming.
Great show guys. Yes we all love Larry Becker. I sure would love to win the Nik Software.
Love the show.
Any tips on how to spot where good light is when shooting people?
This is my favorite podcast. Can’t wait for each week’s new one. Great tip on the AWB tweak.
Anything new with HDR shooting?
I want a hand held neutral density filter, which is the best, economically priced, purchased where?
Great show as always.
Cheapshots was a bit paradoxical this week:
To save money have two flash units (~$450 each)
and mount them together using the (relatively) dirt cheap mount.
Doesn’t add up unfortunately!
Great show as usual though, I did not know that about autowhitebalance!
S
I’ve had my D90 for 18 months and knew I didn’t have mirror lockup (except cleaning) but never realized I had the equivalent in “Delayed Exposure Mode”. Very good tip. Noticed an “Ask Dave” podcast got into the DTown TV stream. Also appreciate the comment that Photoshop World has a significant number of photography sessions. I never knew that. Most are sold out now, but it is a reason to consider Photoshop World in the future even if I don’t want to sit through group PS sessions. I would be much more interested in the photography sessions. Change the name?
Thanks for another great show. Can you do a tip/explanation on hyperfocal distance please? With the new lenses not having the ft/m markings I get confused on how to determine the area that will be in focus. Thanks
Great show. Would like to see more SB800 and SB900 tips please.
Hey, I can’t believe you didn’t mention “the quick way” of tweaking the white balance – that is holding the WB button and turning the front dial!
Oh, and you may also mention the way of adjusting white balance I find most useful:
1. Switch your white balance to Kelvins (turn your back dial seven clicks to the right from auto)
2. Turn on LiveView
3. Turn the front dial to the left for cooler or to the right for warmer WB, until what you see on the screen is what you see with your eye.
Great show! I would like some tips on scanning my slides.
Probably my last comment was too long and that’s why it’s not listed. Anyway, I suggested that you might mention the quick and presice way of finding the right balance:
1. Turn white balance to Kelvins (seven clicks to the right with the back dial while holding the WB button)
2. Activate LiveView
3. Adjust the white balance by turning the front dial while holding down the WB button until what you see on the screen is what you see with your eye.
OK, this one I NEED to win!
Another great show. Thanks.
Hey Guys!
I just made a dual speedlight setup using the tips from Larry. I was just inspired!! Keep up the good work.
Ciao! Matt
Thanks for the show guys. For a newbie like myself this has been such a great learning tool. I literally sit in front of the computer with my camera practicing what you guys teach. Keep up the great work.
ANOTHER!!! Great show…..
Thank you!
Another great show. You guys ROCK!!
Great Show.
Can you do a section on focus points (focus/recompose)
This is an awesome show!
I am so happy I found it!
Great Show as always! Loved the Auto WB tip! Can’t wait to give it a try
Regarding Larry Becker’s quick tip – if you use Nikon flashes then get two Nikon AS-E900 for the metal bar. They are only $3.95 plus you can use the foot lock. You can cut off the cord if it gets in your way. These have become my new cold shoe of choice. You’ll still need the stroboframe to attach to the umbrella adapter or you could run a bolt through it and put that in the umbrella adapter.
Great Show!! Thanks sooooo much for sharing!!!
Finally a new episode! Great flash related tips, thanks for those. And if, I’ll have mine signed.
The auto WB tip was great!
You guys are like CRACK (so I hear) I cant miss a show, learn something new each week.
Can you put a link to where you buy your t-shirts. It seems every week one of you has a t-shirt I’d like to buy.
Also, can you do something with Dave Black. I’m learning a lot from his Workshop at the Ranch
Another great show! Attention Networks put these guys on TV!
I gotta be in it to win it, so I’m in again.
How about some more stuff from Europe, the US stuff’s great but hard for us to get hold of.
Ciao
Dave
great show. how about a pet photographer.
Another great episode… I look forward to it every week.
You guys have come a long way. I’ve been working as a professional freelance cameraman since 1983. Your shows rock!…fer sure!
Hi
Stating the bleeding obvious but with your AWB tip it is assumed that you have to go back in to reset?
Great show. Thanks for all the work that gets put into it.
hi guys, love the show ! i love silver efex , sure would like the rest of the plug in collection!!! keep up the good work .
p.s; would like tips on ND filters…
Great job. Thanks guys!
I love this show. Wish i could watch it daily. Do you guys have any good places in New England to shoot landscapes? I look forward to seeing what you guys have in store for us each week.
Interesting idea of tweaking the Auto White Balance. But isn’t it a thing that drives you mad if you forgot that you tweaked AWB and you wonder why all shots in the studio have that strange magenta look?
Great show. Could you do something on location flash.
Great show. Could you do something on location flash.
Great tips again.
Tips on using umbrellas – eg shoot-through v reflective and general flash shooting would be great. Keep up the good work!
Great show. I’d like to see more tips on using the SB800 and SB900.
Yet Another GREAT Show… Thanks Once Again Photoshop Guys! I Love Being A NAPP Member!!!
Hey guys,
Keep up the good work.
David
Really great show! More Lightroom and Photoshop tips would be great!
Great show!
Great show guys!
Can you give some dos and don’ts of getting good quality shots of indoor, low light with an external hot shoe flash. I did a party where the shots were very noisy but the iso was at 200, aperture priority of 4 and shutter speed adjusted to 1/30.
Thanks.
Great vid !
I would appreciate a tip on sharing a lightroom catalog between multiple computers (let’s say, mac, pc, laptop) with photos on a portable hard drive.
I mean modifying pictures, setting stars and keywords, that kind of stuff and being able to plug the drive on a computer and getting all the last modifications
Like the mirror up tip!
Thanks for all that you do, i’m getting quite
the education. fritz meyer
Maybe it will take this time!
Great Episode.
Nikon must have updated the firmware because my D200 delay exposer works like it should. Have a good day
Thanks for another great show
You guys give lots of great info, but I wish there were an archive to access the Larry Becker tips. If I don’t write down the information, then I have to go back through the episodes, and I find it hard to remember which one I am looking for.
Great show!
I could really use that book, and software for the photowalk! Please pick me!
Could you guys explain about tilt-shift lenses? I have no idea what they are or how to use them.
Also, could you include more info about how to do things on the lower end models like my D5000? Seeing you do it on the D3s doesn’t help me figure out where it is/if it is on my camera.
Would like shows on Studio set-up (where to put flash lights, how far, how close, what are the baackgrounds that you should buy, etc, etc).
Another great show Guy! Thanks for the tips, reviews, and especially inspiration!
Thanks for another great show!
nice show! that lightroom 3 book would really come in handy! haha!
I was wondering if you have to be a member to win the stuff on the show?
Also, What do you think is a good beginner lens for wedding photography?
Here is a link to a Photographer that i get a lot of inspiration from, check her out..
http://www.monacellaphotography.com/
Please can you encode your videos so devices that don’t support flash can be used to watch your videos.
Great show!!! I always look forward to seeing you guys every week!!! Maybe you guys could talk about how you guys keep dust out of your frames? Any tips on how to keep the dust out of the pictures while framing?
Thanks
Stevo
Great show you guys!! Maybe you could talk about how to keep dust off your frames, glass and prints while framing your pictures? Thanks you guys and oh ya YOU ROCK!!!!!!!
Another great show!
Great show with a great variety of subjects. How about more tips on wildlife photography close to home. Any tips on attracting animals to your yard, shooting at night with flash, macro photo set up of the world at our feet, etc
Oops!!! im sorry I didn’t mean to comment twice…i thought that i didn’t go through the first time
Thanks for a excellent show.
Thanks again for another great show!
Fantastic show guys!! Thanks so much. Only suggestion I have would be to have a small segment with a bit more technical or advanced topics and discussion. Love what your doing and watch every week!!
I just checked out your link to Bill Fortney’s website. Excellent! Can you get him to do a training class on Kelby Training? I am sure that would be of interest to many of your subscribers.
I like the photo behind Scott.
Great show guys!
Excellent, excellent show! Would love to see a show on macro lenses . I am a Nikon user, would love to know what kind of micro lense to buy. Looking at purchasing one.
Again, love your show.
Valentina, East St. Paul, Manitoba, Canada
heyhey. i will win!
Great episode. Great tips on auto white balance, mirror lockup, speedlite. Just wonderful!
As a Nikon user, would love to see an episode on macro lenses……….interested in buying one as I am interested in macro work. From your experience, what do you buy if one is to shoot insects…just small objects.
Valentina, E. St. Paul, Manitoba, Canada
Fantastic show as usual. Can’t wait for the next to come!
I’m a better photographer b/c of your show:) Thank you! I’m part of the photowalk in Phoenix, AZ this Saturday and I’m so excited! Thanks again for all the hard work you guys put towards helping.
Thank u guys 4 your work!!!
You guys rock !
great show guys can’t wait for my copy of Lightroom 3
Great job gentlemen! Look forward to new stuff every week. I have tons of notes trying to remember the tips. How about a D-town tip book?? I’d buy it.
You guys rock. Would love to see more on technique and less about settings. Thanks.
Great job gentlemen! I look forward to the new stuff every week. I have tons of notes trying to remember the tips. How about a D-town tip book?? I’d buy it.
That Larry is a Master of the cheap Ideas.
How bout some info on focusing modes, focusing points, continual focus.
Dennis
Great tips guy’s! Could you do a segment the best way to get the right exposure for photographing people with dark skin tones? As always, you guy’s ROCK!
Love the show, especially all of the menu tips on my Nikon D90.
Mirror lock-up segment was very instructive. Thanks gentlemen!
You Guys Rock. Would love the book and collection!
Great show. Can you talk about macro lenses versus telephoto for close up as it relates to depth of field and the plane of focus?
Speaking of mirror lock on Canon.
if the feature is activated, the timer option (which is a 10 sec delay) become a 2 seconds delay.
So you do not need to press twice :
you press the button and the mirrors move up.
the camera wait 2 sec and then take the shot
I hope this help
Thanks for another great show. The auto WB tip for Nikon was great, please provide more future tips on the camera submenus!
Love the show.
Two awesome landscape photographers to see are Kerrick James (www.kerrickjames.com) and Tom Till (www.tomtill.com.) Both do a lot of work on the American southwest and have been very inspirational
Sometime I would like a segment just on exposure…yes I get the way it is suppose to work. But I would love to see someone show me if you change A what happens to B and C in the triangle. You know …Basics version 1.0/ Thanks
First time watching the show and lets just say I’ve set aside this weekend for the World Wide Photowalk and catching up on past episodes.
So glad to have a great source for everything photographing! Look forward to future episodes.
Great show once again.
Two awesome landscape photographers to see are Kerrick James (www.kerrickjames.com) and Tom Till (www.tomtill.com.) Both do a lot of work on the American southwest and have been very inspirational
Love the Auto White Balance adjustment tip. Funny enough I just recently read the adjustment tip for sunsets in your Digital Photography Book Volume 1 ( recently bought the set after catching up to realtime on D-Town TV episodes).
Thanks for all the tips online and in the books. What I would like to hear from you guys though is a little on not just taking the pictures (though more of that) but how to showcase them. While I’m nowhere near the jump what are things to do to eventually bridge that gap into pro photography? What are your views on contests or what are other options when you are not established? How about tips for watermarking or copywrighting you work? The more I write, the more I want to ask so I will just stop there.
Thanks,
Scott
Great show.

great show
Love cheap shots. Actually I love everything about the show.
One thing though, on the mirror lockup pdf, you mention the D3000 as not having the feature and in the list of Nikons that do, you don’t mention my camera. I have the D5000.
I guess I could look in the manual and try the setting, but we are a society of questioners and thats my question.
Thanks guys.
Great show~thanks guys
Could you talk about how to use color filters?
what situation and when to use it?
And wb setting when we using color filters
I like the auto white balance adjustment tip and just recently read the tip on sunsets in the Digital Photography Book Volume 1 so it doesn’t require much further thought to remember.
I love the shows and the books (which I bought after catching up to the show in realtime).
What I would like to hear from you guys is not just about taking the pictures (though more on that) but how to showcase them. How do you begin to bridge the gap into pro photography? What are your thoughts on contests, etc? On a more technical note what do you do to protect your work, watermarks, etc?
Thanks,
Scott
Love the Zumbrella. I own both of Bill Fortney’s aerial photo books. Absolutely Fantastic. He is a great photographer and not afraid to tell you what he believes.
Hey guys great episode again. I was wondering if you could say something about the new rumored SLR cameras that Nikon is releasing like the D4000 and D8000?
Another great and informative episode!
Great show as always! Look forward to it every week.
Great show as usuall. I”m a newbie at digital photography. Just got my D90 last December and Lightroom last month, so every tip is greatly appreciated. Having a copy of the lightroom book & Nik software colllection would be a great help.
Thanks.
All your tips are helpful. Especially finding out new information in my menus (a Nikon user). Would like to learn more about the many AF settings.
WooHoo!
Great show as usual, thanks for everything you do….
I’m watching your show since the beginning, very helpful
thanks a lot
Great Show!
Thanks
Thanks for tip on the mirror lock up. Going to Seattle next month and plan on using it for my landscapes.
Nice. Ziser talks about small flashes and how they are about 1/3 rd of output of quantum and Larry tells us how to marry two speedlites together. It’s almost like you plan this stuff!
Great show!
great show
Great ideas from Larry! I wonder if 2 different flashes can be used. esp if one is slightly taller than the other.
Will have to try it out.
Keep up the great shows!
I can’t waitto try the mior lock up tip. I neer hear of this before. Thanks again
love that nik stuff!
Wha are the difernces between PS 5 (old version) vs elements 8 or CS 3 or 4.
Good Show.
Another great show. Could you boys do a show about inkjet printing.
Hi Guys!
Great show you have. I know there are a lot of guys following your show abroad.
Couldn’t it be interesting to followup or show things from other countries like Sweden where I come from? For instance travel tips – new country each episode?
Cheap Shots are great but when showing black colored things like this week think about not using dark shirts
Best regards from Thommy in Sweden
Great show again. I just love the tips. I don’t think you’ve done any segments on lens care – how you look after your gear (if at all) after a shoot. Is it OK to have a lens just sitting in a cupboard for several years etc.
I just love the tips. I don’t think you’ve done any segments on lens care – how you look after your gear (if at all) after a shoot. Is it OK to have a lens just sitting in a cupboard for several years etc.
Scott & Matt,
Another great show. Love Larry Becker’s cheap shots section and all the great guests (Joe, David, Moose, etc). If I can suggest something it will be to include a small section at the end where you suggest a book on photography (such as you did on this episode with Bill’s books). Other than that a big thanks from a wannabe photographer south of the border. . .
Ohh! last thing. . . hope you pick me as the winner of your new book and Nik’s collection. . .
Gracias!!!
Like the new photos on the back wall. Is that Venice or a Vegas imitation? Could you talk about packing camera bags? — I’ve only just found out that many pros always remove their lenses from the camera bodies when putting things back in their bags. I’m sure others might benefit.
Excellent show! Many thanks.
Hi Guys, i’ve been watching the show since the first rumors appeared! Keep up the really really good job! A show on square filters would be nice (maybe you can get hold of the new lee filters holder for the Nikon 14-24 and show it to us)
Greets from Romania!
Mihai (you can read it as “me-high”
)
Thanks for another great show!
Another Great show guys!!
I love it when you show a tip and I say to my self – this is what I needed to know!
That’s for me the best part – to learn in every episode something new.
So Thanks for the tip on mirror lock.
I will use it in the photo walk this weekend.
Thanks for another great show!
Great show again and thanks Scott for the advice on your blog for shooting auto racing events. Those tips were very helpful to me this past weekend at the Rolex Grand Am series in New Jersey. I would really like to see tips like those on D-Town TV.
Thanks guys, great show – again.
It should be referred to on both the Nikon and Canon website…
Thanks to all of you for a great show.
How about some tip about shooting macro and macro gear.
Greetings
Great Job.
How about a show on tripods.
Great show and great tips. Some of us have issues with dust bunnies. Why not do a segment of ways to clean your sensor safely?
Keep the great shows coming!
Can’t wait to see Moose next week!
Good show.
Greetings from Israel, Great Show!
Great Show, Always enjoy your tips!
Tried out these tips and it improved my images! Can’t wait for the next show! Keep it up guys!
Great show! Always enjoy Cheap Shots and the lighting tips were great!
Great show guys. I would love some more tips on getting good landscape photos.
Another great program!
Another fantastic show. I look forward to this every week. Amazing stuff
As usual you guys give the best tips by far.
Larry’s tip was great.
Keep them coming.
Hey guys,
Super great show again.
Friendly regards,
from the netherlands
Hey guys, another great episode. I’m beginning to think that Larry Becker could be my new best friend. I’m going to go out and make that flash bracket today.
Thanks for producing such a great show.
Cheers
I have just returned from a three week trip to Europe, which included Germany, Belgium and Austria. Of course I missed three weeks of DTOWN so I have just finished a mini marathon of three weeks worth of your show. You guys always have a great show. I used some of your tips while on my vacation and wanted to thank you for them.
Great show, thanks!
Great show! Can you recommend some good monitors? Thanks!
Hey guys, thanks for another great show. Looking forward to the Worldwide Photo Walk this weekend!
Another great show!
Thanks!
I want to win!
You guys rock.I have learned so much about my camera.
Thanks Guys keep up the great work.
I can’t thank you guys enough for putting together such great material as DTOWN and PHOTOSHOPUSERTV – You Guys Rock! I’ve learned more in the last year on photography and photoshop than I ever knew.
Since I’m a budding wedding and portrait photographer, it’s great to see spots talking about remote flash, like today’s David Ziser segment, and other techniques and gadgets for making it easier to ‘get the shot’ and make those magical moments for the clients.
Thanks for all the help. I am learning alot.
Another great episode.
Just one comment… when you’re showing off black gear against folks wearing black shirts… it’s really hard to see the gear. Just sayin’.
Many thanks!
Oooh, Nik’s complete collection!
.. Great episode again . that WB tip is great for trying out on experimental base..
Since ya reading all ya say
i was wonder if you guys saw that “wedding fotographer fail ” video. maybe a tip from you guys to avoiding such
Hey guys,
your show is awesome! I totally love it, especially the tips on outdoor shooting and Larry’s cheap shots! Keep it up!
Martin
Great show. Nice cheap shot tip.
Great show, excelent.
I just had a baby girl. She will be watching your show very soon.
Great Show, as always!
yeewhooo!
Another Great Show. You Guys are just tooooooo Good!!
This is my comment.
I’m so disheartened whenever you guys go through menus of prosumer and pro cameras, and see how completely stripped down my D60 is. Nikon should sponsor you guys for all the body sales that they get off of suckers like me who didn’t realize what they were missing when they made their original switch to DSLRs.
Good show as allways
Here’s my suggestion: The little table on top of the big one in front of Scott, it wobbles back and forward.
That’s what old 16MB SD-cards are good for.
You put them under one leg of the table and voila, it’s fixed
Thanks!
Great show!
How about a tip on using wide angle lens some day?
Thanks?
Love your shows, great tips that I actually used. Starting to keep a reference now on shows…..
Love you guys even more if I win the complete Nik software but, hey, I’m trying…..
Great show. Saw it by accident on KelbyTV.
ove this show and dosent want them to stop
Long time viewer; first time commenter. Enjoying the show and looking forward to the Photowalk this weekend.
Great show just keep them coming.
Show on Flash and wireless, Thanks
Getting so addicted to your shows and books that I had a dream I was out shooting with Scott and Joe McNally last night! Weird, keep up the great work.
I love the Cheap Shots!
Can’t wait until the PhotoWalk!!!
interesting
Great tip Scott!
I love the tip on the White Balance adjustments you can make in camera to your Auto setting. I can’t wait to go out and try it
.
I would love to see you guys do an onsite shoot at one of the parks near Tampa on birding. Techniques for panning on and off the tripod.
Keep up the great work!!
Michael
Been watching every episode since day one and I’m still learning even though I’m a subriber to Kelby Training as well. Thank you guys! Wold love to see a episode on how filters work and some sample applications on ND and CP and etc. Thanks again!
Thanks again for a very informative show. No suggestions at this time
love the show
Another great episode. In prior videos David uses a portable softbox, has he now changed to the umbrella most of the time?
Thanks for the show guys! I really like the segments with David Ziser!
Would love to see how to get perfect White Balance.
Everything from in Camera setup to lightroom adjustments. A how to get the perfect white balanced picture and how to correct color cast.
I just started using ColorChecker Passport and would love to see a segment showing it in use from start to finish.
Thanks for the great shows. Would love to shake your hand one day Scott, Matt & Larry and say thanks for everything .I have learned a lot!
Nice work!
Any tips on gig photography?
Great show as always…Love the mirror lock up tip! I keep reading the freakin manual and still keep finding new stuff!
Another great show. Mirror lockup is a godsend tip. Thanks much.
Great show, i learned a lot, especially Lary’s cheap shot. Wow, all that for $30. And I always enjoy David Ziser’s tips too.
Keep it up!
Another great show guys, thanks. Looking forward to my first Photowalk this weekend!
Another great show.
Thanks…
I’ve always used the mirror delay mode and then always forget to turn it off! Then it takes me a few minutes to figure out what’s going on with my camera! ESO problems again. Thanks
Another great episode guys, always look forward to the great tips, and the next show !
You guys RAAAWWWWKKKK !
Hey, can you do an upcoming episode and talk a little about skin softening within LR3???
Keep up the great work.
the best show ever
I’ve learned so much from you guys. Keep it up! I’ll take my book signed. Of course, I won’t pass up the Nik software.
I loved the tips on adjusting auto white balance and mirror lock-up/exposure delay to get sharp landscape.
Great show!!!!
Great tips again this week. I am not sure but Brad missed the D80 in the PDF.
Thanks again for a great show! This may be a little bit of a stretch, but how about a series of tips on posing subjects (individuals or groups) for portraits.
Great Show!! Please explain how you use your auto focus, Do you center focus then compose??
Awesome show guys, thanks. Maybe more tips on how to use flash outdoors for fill flash.
Another great show!
Hey Guys,
I love your show – watch it religiously. I have a Nikon D700 but recently purchased a Leica M9. Have you considered any tips for rangefinder photography? I would love your input.
Regards,
Max
Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again Rockin again
Hey guys, I just love the show and you have helped me tremendously. I will be at the photowalk on Saturday in Pittsburgh, PA.
JoeM
You guys just keeping on hitting them out of the park. Great show and very informative info as always. I know I’ve mentioned this a few times. Since Larry Becker’s cheap shots segments are so popular. Maybe you guys could have someone create a separate link or something that shows all of Larry’s cheap shots suggestions in one area. Keep up the good work.
thanks for all the tips
Great show! Why don’t you guys cometo the UK sometime?!
you guys should give some reviews on glass to help widen our photographic horizons
on the auto WB tip – hold the WB button and use the front dial and you can adjust the A1-A6 and B1-B6 without having to go in menu… must for fast action adjustment. T
Larry Becker Rocks…..a suggestion though…don’t hold a black object in front of a black shirt…kind of hard to see. Oh, Scott and Matt, you guys rock too.
Can you guys cover exposure adjustments and how it relates to the flash (SB-xxx, not pop up). Thanks for all the information on Kelbytraining.
Can’t get enough of your show, got every episode on my iphone and watch them on my break at work.
Could you guys do some tips on long exposure photgraphy with explanations of in camera settings and post processing please.
Thanks from th UK.
I want that price
Great show. Some tips on manual focus for extended depth of field would be great.
New to photography can you tell me where you can get the L bracket that you showed on the last episode. also can you recomend a ball head tripod to go with the bracket, keep up the good work also whach photoshop tv.
WOOP! Loving D Town!
As a suggestion, I’d love to see you set up some filters, and discuss which is your favourite and why……
Thanks guys
Thanks as always guys for another great show.
Love the show! You guys are awesome! Could you do a review on those new LED light panels for DSLR’s?
Hi! You guys have a great show. I really like it very much & never miss a show. I’m a beginner. Having a few enquiries. Would like to know what’s the different between RAW & JPEG? And what does RAW, ISO & DSLR stand for? Appreciated & thank you.
Good show as always.
Good show – how about addressing how to setup a nikon to show a histogram that’s closer to pure luminance in RAW than that shown from the JPG preview of the image…
Hi! Thanks for the WB tip.
hey guys,
great show.
how about doing a special show all about ‘photo journalism’ or ’street photography’. I find it would be appropriate seeing as your photowalk is coming up shortly. You could talk about such things as what gear to bring, bags, cheap accessories that make life easier when shooting this way, and MOST important, how to talk to people you meet on the street and ask them if you can take their photo.
just some thoughts guys, keep up the great work.
Hi
hey guys!! thanks for these helpful tips !! please can you explain the differences between canon ‘normal lenses’ and L series lenses? is it worth it?? also is it possible to explain to us any backup strategies and file storage of photos?? thank you once again !!
Another great show guys!
As always, loved the show. Matt: you are going to be in our area (Mill Valley-Sausalito) for the walk, but your walk is filled up. Any chance you could host an after walk session for all three walks going on in the Sausalito-Mill Valley area?
Cool show….I love what you guys teach !
hope im not too late to win.
You Rock! no seriously you guys are doing a excellent job with the show. Will be ordering the new LR3 book ASAP
Hope I win!
I look forward to the show every week. I have a question about the Nik plugins for Lightroom. I was using them in Lightroom 2 and when I make the move to 3 they don’t seem to work. Have I done something wrong?
Great tips and another fantastic episode!
Great show
You guys are great!
Can we get more in depth on shooting macro?
Also, signatured watermarks.
Thanks!
good job guys more tips again.
Thanks guys. Great show!
hey great show again guys
Question for Matt
why is it that you want to do all that work in light room with the gradient filter??, open to pictures and copy paste, and so on.
why not just open 1 in photoshop, make the same gradient filter, as a new layer, and the with a layer mask, just hide the rocks and foreground it with black?
regards Simon
I’d love to get a signed copy of your new book, Scott. Great tip about the mirror lock up.
I don’t have a travel tripod, but I do have a monopod that will fit in my suit case. Do you have any tips on how to get better landscape results on a monpod? I’m takig a trip soon and I’d love any advice.
My birthday was the 21st… would love a present!
Great stuff, would love to see more about portfolio presentation
Awsome work. Keep it up. Thanks
I always enjoy the show and have learned a lot. I’d love it if you would get into the detailed use and settings of the SB-800. Another subject I’d like to see covered is posing models.
Thanks
I would love to see something on the adjustment of the power settings on the Nikon SB-900 when shooting moderate to low lighting.
As usual great show. PLEASE bring a few workshops to Chicago. We are hungry!
I shoot with a D300. A while back I was shown a way to assign spot metering to the func button. This would allow me to temporarily use meter and hold the spot metering setting for certain shots. Could you include this in a future show? Thanks for the great show.
Just received Lightroom 3… Lovin it….
This was a great Episode! Great Job !
Great Cheap Shots and show this week!
Looking forward to the worldwide photo walk this Saturday ! Sign up and enjoy !
Thanks everyone at Kelby and God bless all.
Great tip about the Auto WB feature!
david ziser is a pimp. i love that dude!!!
Love you show . Keep up the terrific work!
Great job guys – really like the auto WB tip. It worked great for me!!
Hey Guys – where are the show notes?
You guys rock!
)))
Hey guys, love your show! They are all on my iPod but I haven’t seen them all yet as good things should be consumed with moderation so the pleasure lasts longer. Anyway, enough flowers for now
Wouldn’t it be useful to do a topic on dynamic AF and 3D tracking? These options also can improve one’s shooting. I guess Canon has also such possibilities.
Hello there, I love you show…. i’m kinda new to photography. I’m using D90+ tamron 17-50mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f4-5.6 I have a few questions for you and Matt, 1)Are these two lens good enough for me to do wedding photography and landscape photography..? 2) I don’t have a tripod…should i get one and if yes could you recommend me a good and reliable tripod because I’ve read that you only invest once on a tripod.
Well done perfect as usual, i hope you can make a real photoshop world tour and come to Europe
You Guys Rock!!!
Thanks, ya’ll! You’re awesome!
Hey guys,
Are there any Sports Photographers that you could suggest to follow?
Matt: You going to the balloon festival again this year?
Thanks!
So Guys – If all that book signing is getting to be too much….Think of me
As an aside I did upgrade to LR3 on your recommendation and even though I an unemployeed it is a good investment – A wonder program that is evolving in great ways!
Radi Ann
Greta show. I just attended a webinar on using the Nik plug-ins. Great products. Have you done a show on your favorite Nik software plug-ins you use?
The David Ziser spot was great. Thanks!
Great show!
Great show guys!
Could you maybe have a small segment on using a softbox, like the ezybox, for doing on location portraits/model shoots?
Always, always, always educational, inspirational, entertaining. That’s about as good as it gets.
Thanks for doing the show guys.
Best regards.
I love you!
Another great show. How bout some free stuff?
running out of money buying all your stuff and recommendations. thanks
So, is it better to keep exposure delay mode on all the time? Or should I only use it for tripod work?
Hi Gerry, keeping exposure delay mode on all the time is not a good idea because real action shots (shooting sports, kids,…) become impossible. Using exposure delay is great for shooting ’still life” like architecure, landscape and it makes sense to use a tripod as this technique is used to eliminate all possible camerashake.
Happy Shooting!
Stephan
Great show! More flash photo tips would be great.
I am entranced by Black and White photography. Could you comment on, if or how, changing the white balance would impact Black and White compositions. Actually any tips you have on Balck and White photography would be greatly appreciated.
Well, I submitted a comment last night, after watching the video, but it seems to have disappeared or something.
Anyway, I am a new NAPP member (finally), and my wife and I will be participating in one of the Photo Walks here in Georgia, tomorrow evening. This will be our first one of the worldwide walks, and I’m really looking forward to it (even though it’s supposed to feel around 109 degrees tomorrow!)
I’ve really enjoyed all the great information you guys present on the D-Town, NAPP, and other Web sites. I want to finish watching the rest of the D-Town episodes before I ask a question (in case you’ve covered it already), but keep up the great work, and I look forward to enjoying future D-Town episodes in the week to come.
Okay, this wasn’t supposed to go with this show, it was for episode 48. My comment from last night IS on that show. So just ignore my post here! I blame it on the heat. This humidity is terrible!
Great show. Learn a lot every time.
Hello Scott,Matt
I really enjoyed my first Kelbytraining seminar, Lightroom 3 Los Angeles Convention Center Show.
Learned alot,Thanks Matt!
Another great shows guys. I hope you guys get around to more tips on macro and product photography.
Good show, important show!
Idea for a show: Tips for printing your photos at home.
Great show!
As always good show (and chance to win nice price)
Once again great show. Is it possible to get a PDF guide of all the shows listing topics covered?
Once again, thanks.
Bart
Great show as always.
How about doing a Lightroom class in Kansas.
Would love to have a very basic photography tip on every show for all of us “newbies”.
Thanks.
Great tips, as always! Love the tips buried in the menus, please keep them coming!
Another great show!
Always enjoy David Ziser’s tips.
Great tips again this week. Basic stuff is great. Demos on D90 helps too. You guys rock.
Thanks.
Thanks again for another great D-Town. I really like the tip on adjusting the White Balance. Yet another thing I can play with when I’m feeling creative.
I only wish the camera manufacturers would make mirror lock-up easier.
Great show! Thank you guys!
Maybe some tips about softboxes and umbrellas. Differences, advantages etc…
Love it still, you guys rock the things I need to hear about. On another point, there was a lot of background noise on this episode….
Just started using Lightroom, and am glad for all the tips.
Great show.
Question: What technique do you use to balance exposure for the subject and background during outside day shooting.
I’ll say it again.. night photography!
Great show guys. Great tips as always!
GREAT SHOWS GUYS!!!!! What do you sink about some white balance devices like-Dot line white balance lens cap,,,BaLens white balance caps,,,ExpoImaging Expo Disc. Thanks.
great show!!!!
Good show.
Great tip about exposure delay. I was taking a night skyline shot of Chicago last week and really could have used it, I’ll go out again and be able to get even better shots. Thanks
hi guys great show.
you rock, as allways
Guys, you not only rock, you’re awesome! I love your show, well done, usefull, fantastic tips and fun to watch. Break a leg! Cheers!
Loved the tip about warming up WB but there is a quicker way to do it (at least on my D90). When holding down the WB button turning the front dial provides either amber or blue compensation on a scale of 1-6 either way. Far quicker to access than the menu.
Love the show it’s getting better all the time.
Great show. I always like the cheap shots segments.
Great show.. keep the cheap shots coming!
Great show!
I shoot Nikon’s D300 and the WB tip I use is the live view function [Lv] found on the release mode dial. I get the image displayed on the monitor, I then press the WB button and rotate the main command dial to the desired effect I want or need.
Great show guys, any chance of a roundup on book printing sites?
Hey guys,
Great show again – great tip for tuning your auto white balance!
Guys, the show must go on!
Love David Siser but,
Great tip on the speed lights but the logic doesn’t make sense. Using two speed lights at half power prolongs life. However, at the end of the day, you just end up paying for the mount and have the same length of shooting time if you carry two.
Am I missing something?
GREAT SHOWS GUYS!!!!! What do you think about some white balance devices like-Dot line white balance lens cap,,,BaLens white balance caps,,,ExpoImaging Expo Disc. Thanks.
good show
You guys rocked again!
You guys rock!
Could you discuss printing options for studio and location photographers?
Currently, for studio shoots, I send all of my files to a local printer for printing. For on-location events, I use a Canon Selphy dye-sublimation printer to print 4×6 prints. I would like to be able to print other print sizes but would need to get a different printer. I see a lot of people using ink-jet printers for professional photo sales of studio photos. Are they really that good? Do they last?
Thanks a lot guys!!!!
Hey guys, love your show!
Would be nice to see more tips & trix, how to take photos with macro (micro).
Good show as always!!! Love David Z.
Great show. Love the tips and how you actually show me where to go to find the settings.
Great show….especially the D90 info on mirror up for tack sharp photos…Thanks again…really enjoy these movies….
William
Great episode. Any chance you could you talk about lens calibration? Thanks!
Every show is better than the last. Photography is soooo amazing. Nice touch with the giveaways. Larry Becker rocks!! Any chance on tips for lens filters, macro shooting and taking/making panoramic shots in photoshop.
Please can you get someone to do a Zone Focusing tutorial. Thanks for D-town TV
great show guys. love larry’s cheap shots!
Awesome tips again and again!
Thanks,
Ross
Super tips about the WB, i just love your show. Thank you, greetings from Austria.
FWIW, you can buy Think Tank gear from Amazon as well. I bought my Street Walker Pro backpack through Amazon.
Great show and awesome tips.
banana pancakes.. I love the show just as much! Pick me!
You guys cover lots, but can you continue doing the studio tips?
Great show, thanks for the tips, would love to see
all the off camera flash tips you can throw at us.
just loved Matt’s tip last episode on post processing graduated filters! Thanks for the great info!
Great episode as usual. Try talking a little slower. Get away from the black shirts. Go to Hawaii or Florida and gets some florals
Love the show!
I want Scott to sign my book!
I know it may not be something everyone can do but could you discuss a little underwater photography and the Nikon gear used for it? A few things you could discuss are lights and lenses. I know you would need bright lights to get good exposures but what about shutter speed and aperture?
As always, I love your show and look forward to the next installment.
Guys,
Great show, as always.
Went to the photowalk in St. Petersburg (my second time) and really enjoyed the ride and the company of so many great people. Downside? It was so darn hot! Last year my daughter Ana (12) came along and this year my two daughters Ana and Paula (10) joined me and they both took pictures! This was a great opportunity for spending great time together doing things we all like. Next year my wife might even join!
Thanks for these great shows.
Thanks for the tips!
love you guys! might love you even more if I won your book!
So, don’t use mirror lockup when going hand held while riding a bus at night? hhmm….
Amazing stuff guys
Thank you for the calibrated auto white balance tip!!!
Love the show as always. Good stuff!
Great episode keep it up.
Hi guys!
You guys are great. I have recommended your site to literally hundreds of people, but always with the same disclaimer…to ignore some of your purchasing advice.
Your lens series was great and all, but sure, everybody would love to own the trifecta but we can’t afford the 24-70 or 70-200 2.8’s.
How about a segment dedicated to some of the old school lenses? Like the 35–70 2.8 or some of the other gems that used to be the pro work horses that can now be found fairly cheap..
Keep up the great work.
Great stuff on the flash brackets. Im gonna make myself one.
Great Tips.
Hi guys,
I’m taking the tip from Matt in episode 42 -
You guys rock! and I want to win the prize!!
by the way this is really the best site ever, been watching since episode 1. keep up the great work.
Paul
i can’t see the comments that i previously posted, am i missing something?
Am I too late to win??? Darn!
Oh man! My previous comments was lost. Anyway, just wanted you guys to know that i was surprise to see that you’re back online. After the break from season 2, I told myself that it’ll take more weeks than they promised. So, just out of curiosity, I checked this site last week, and I was like, oh my God! They’re back and episode 47 is up! And moreso, you’re giving away lots of good stuff( I love Scott’s book and NIk plugins! Thank guys!)
So I grab my notebook, opened iTunes, subscribed to your podcast and download ALL the episodes. Dump everything to my iPhone. Now dtowntv is with me everywhere I go.
Could you please cover some tips for closeup and macro photography please… Thanks!
And one last thing… You guys rock!!!! Now give me the prize!!! Thanks
Great show guys. Please have Hobby back on a regular basis.
Another great show.
Good show, as always.

I already have Scott’s Lightroom 3 book, so could he sign the Nik suite for me instead?

Thank you,
