    Nice. I have not been sharpening on a separate layer, but will now. Hard drive space is cheap these days. And, I place a high value on flexibility. Thanks for the tip.

    Great tip Dave! I never thought about sharpening on a blank layer. I always have a habit of duplicating the the layer. A blank layer would reduce the size of a saved file than a duplicate layer.
