I like using the lens flare on a separate black layer with the sceen blending mode best. I simply make the canvas size twice the size of my original picture all the way round (creating lots dead spac around the pic, then when you render the black layer you can move the flare where you want it on the picture without the edge of the flare layer showing. I simply then re-crop around the original picture – job done.

I have a great waterfall picture but the highlights in the horizon are really blown out. There also seems to be a halo around three edges. None of these areas respond to any color replacement tools. How can I correct this without making selections? I would like to replace the blown out sky and tree edges with a more interesting sky from another image.
